Dan Aykroyd Criticizes Ghostbusters Reboot Again, Says It Should Have Had More From Original Cast

Yesterday, Ghostbusters legend Dan Aykroyd made his feelings for 2016’s reboot very clear when he stated that it “cost too much” and stated that director Paul Feig will “not be back on the Sony lot any time soon.” Today, he’s continued to air his grievances with the movie, with the following post on his official Facebook page.

Paul Feig made a good movie and had a superb cast and plenty of money to do it. We just wish he had been more inclusive…

Posted by Dan Aykroyd on Monday, June 5, 2017

At least this time around, Aykroyd – who played Dr. Ray Stantz in the original two Ghostbusters movies – took the time to compliment the film. He admitted that “Feig made a good movie” and that the all-female cast were “superb.” However, he revealed that he thought it should have been “more inclusive” to the “originators.” Presumably, he means the original team of Ghostbusters: himself,

Sony is bringing an animated Ghostbusters movie to screens

Animated Ghostbusters movie being set-up at Sony; Ivan Reitman to produce. An animated Ghostbusters movie is on the way from Sony Pictures Animation.

In quite a surprising move, Sony Pictures is planning to bring an animated Ghostbusters movie to screens in the future.

Variety just broke the news and have said that the project has been set-up with Ivan Reitman producing. Reitman, of course, directed the fantastic original film back in 1984.

The project is in its very early stages of development, and there is currently no script or indeed writer attached to write that script as yet, let alone a director or directors. Of course, Paul Feig has his Ghostbusters film starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones set for release next July.

It is not known if the two movies are linked in any way.

Of course, the Ghostbusters property has been taken down the animation route before.

Details of the 2009 Ghostbusters 3 Script Revealed

Bloody-Disgusting got their hands on a copy of the Ghostbusters 3 script written by Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg back in 2009. This version of the script will never be made into a movie, so I wouldn’t worry about any spoilers. Bridesmaids director Paul Feig has taken the reigns and is set to direct and co-write a Ghostbusters reboot that will feature a female cast of Ghostbusters.

The script definitely sounds like it would have made for an interesting movie. The site did a breakdown of the story and they reveal all the details you need to know about what this film would have been. I’ve included a rundown of the film below with a few excepts from the report.

There are some aspects that I like about this, and other things that I don’t. One thing is for sure is that it doesn’t capture the spirit of the original film.

Ted Danson to play Stan's shrink on 'American Dad'

Ted Danson to play Stan's shrink on 'American Dad'
Analyze this: Ted Danson will play a psychiatrist in an episode of American Dad. EW has learned exclusively that the Cheers vet, who currently stars in CSI, will voice the role of "Dr. Ray," a shrink that Stan visits in the wake of a near-death experience. And we do mean shrink. "He introduces Stan to the concept of miniatures, and Stan is so caught up in the idea that he uses CIA technology to shrink himself into the miniature world where it’s all safe and protected," executive producer Matt Weitzman tells EW. Danson is not a psychiatrist, but

Sigourney Weaver talks Ghostbusters 3, confirms Oscar will be a Ghostbuster

Last weekend saw the 30th anniversary of Ivan Reitman’s comedy classic Ghostbusters, but the third entry in the franchise is perhaps one of the longest gestating movies in Hollywood development. Despite being in play since the early 90s, Ghostbusters 3 is yet to go into production. Ivan Reitman has ruled himself out of directing after the death of Harold Ramis and the latest rumour is putting Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) in the director’s chair.

However, one thing we now know for sure is that Oscar, the son of Dana Barrett, will be one of the new Ghostbusters. At least according to Sigourney Weaver.

The Aliens actress said in an interview with Vanity Fair while discussing returning for a third outing: “I said, ‘I have one condition. I want my son Oscar to be a Ghostbuster’, and he said, ‘We’ve already done that.’”

Oscar was last seen in 1989′s

Mass Effect 4: 10 Reasons BioWare Must Start A New Saga

Launched in the fall of 2007, Bioware’s Mass Effect franchise filled the western space opera vacuum left by the cancellations and finales of Star Trek, Stargate, and Battlestar Galactica. Spanning three games, its overarching storyline revolved around Commander Shepard and his/her struggles against the Reapers, a race of machines that culled all life in the galaxy every 50,000 years.

Despite an ending that is controversial, to say the least, Mass Effect has managed to expand out into the multimedia universe, with comics, novels, mobile games, and even an animated movie. But just about everything has been part of or tied into Shepard’s saga – and that has to change when the next Mass Effect game is released.

Here are the 10 reasons Bioware needs a whole new plot for the next Mass Effect game. Warning: spoilers for Mass Effect 3 will be largely present.

10. They Already Said They Would

The first reason

Ghostbusters 3 has a New Writing Staff!

There have been so many flip flops in the making of this movie, I think they could make a movie based on the making of this movie. With that being said, Dr. Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd) was doing an autograph signing in New York this week and was asked by a local news station about a third installment in the Ghostbusters series. This is what he told Wibv:

We've got a new writing staff working on it now," Aykroyd said. "It's got to be prefect. That's the whole thing. There's no point in doing it unless it's perfect. So that's what we're up to now

I think if they can get the script right, that this could be a fun movie. I am normally a naysayer when it comes to sequels, but for some reason I really want to see this come together. There has been a lot of talk about Bill Murray’s involvement.

'Mass Effect 3' Getting Free, Ending-Explaining Dlc This Summer

Confused or unhappy with how your Mass Effect 3 ending turned out? Or maybe you just want to see more of Shepherd. In any event, BioWare is putting together some Dlc to "expand upon the events" from the conclusion of their RPG trilogy in the Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut.

According to the announcement posted this morning, the BioWare team has shifted their post-release focus to create a Dlc pack featuring additional cinematics and epilogue content to elaborate on the, let's say controversial ending to Mass Effect 3. Dr. Ray explains that the new content will "[strike] a good balance in delivering the answers players are looking for while maintaining the team’s artistic vision for the end of this story arc in the Mass Effect universe.”

The Extended Cut Dlc will be available across all platforms this summer. There's currently no specifics on a release date. There's also no word yet on what

[Op-Ed] BioWare Doing...Something About The Endings of 'Mass Effect 3' And Why The Fans Are Wrong

In an open letter to gamers, BioWare'sGM, Dr. Ray Muzyka says the company is aware of fan complaints about the ending and that the developer plans to "provide more clarity" to the deeply contentious Mass Effect 3 ending.

It's a measured, cool and collected response to an incredibly stupid non-issue.

I had my issues with Mass Effect 3, to the point where I felt like it might not have been the game that the superlative Mass Effect 2 deserved. But maybe I'm built differently somehow because when I reached the ending of the game, unlike some more vocal fans of the series, I didn't rend my garments and gnash my teeth, I moved on. It wasn't an especially good or particularly gripping ending, but also wasn't likely to be the end of the Mass Effectuniverse that BioWare and EA want to sell us.

Truthfully, this whole reaction by some gamers represents some of the basest,

'CSI': Laurence Fishburne 'really grateful' for his time

Laurence Fishburne hasn't watched "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" since he left, but his feelings toward the series are good ones.

"I enjoyed it a lot," the Emmy and Tony winner tells Zap2it of his two years-plus on the drama. "I learned a lot, and I really appreciated the opportunity to connect with a viewing audience of that size regularly. That's something television gives you that I'd never had the opportunity for, so I'm really grateful for that."

Dr. Ray Langston, Fishburne's "CSI" alter ego, left on a dark note after killing the tormentor who had kidnapped Langston's ex-wife. "It was great, it was great," Fishburne says of that exit, which yielded an opening for Ted Danson to join the CBS show this season. "I don't think that was the way it was intended, but it just kind of worked out that way."

A big-screen staple of such movies as "Boyz N the Hood,

Mass Effect 3: Commander Shepard Last Stand?

Bioware announced today that Mass Effect 3 will be the end for the Commander Shepard story arc and even if future games are created in the Mass Effect universe there will be no Commander Shepard.

Bioware’s CEO Dr. Ray Mazuka:

“Mass Effect 3 is simultaneously a couple of different things: a thrilling and epic conclusion to the trilogy as we promised our fans we’d provide for Commander Shepard, but it’s also a brand new beginning – it’s an entry point for new fans and it’s also a brand new beginning.”

Producer Michael Gamble stated:

“After this, Commander Shepard’s story is complete. Even if there are more games in the Mass Effect universe, he/she definitely won’t be in them?” He laconically replied, “Correct.”

It seems definitive that Mass Effect 3 will be the last time we play as Commander Shepard; however on the bright side it seems

Laurence Fishburne Chooses Red Pill, Leaves 'CSI'
Laurence Fishburne has opted not to renew his contract for "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," the hit CBS program he joined in 2008.
