T. Surendra Reddy was born in Parlapalli Village in Nellore District. Due to the desire to be a cameraman, he first worked in "Murugalaya Studio" as a Camera attender. A few months after learning about the camera, in the profession in order to gain more knowledge; he worked as an assistant Cameraman with veteran cinematographers like, K. S. Hari, S. S. Lal, K. A. Jyothi, J. J. Vijayam, Lakshman Ghore, Dasaratharam, N. S. Raju, K. S. Mani and also with his friend Chota K Naidu. He has shot on more than 50 feature films as an independent Cinematographer in multiple languages. Surendra Reddy's distinct experience includes feature films, documentaries, Tv commercials, television serials and shooting a wide range of formats from "Negative Film stock" to "Digital Format". Surendra Reddy Known for his works as an experimental Cinematographer.
*He got his first opportunity to work with Award winning Director B. S. Narayana's Film Margadarsi(1991).B.S. Narayana Directed the movie under complete blindness (Limca Book of Records: First Blind Film Director).
*1995 to 2000 he left Cinema and totally dedicated his time for electronic media to hold on to the ever-growing electronic media.
*2004 he got an opportunity to work for "Rudraksh" (Hindi movie) which is fully based on Computer Graphics.
*2006 "Manodu" (Telugu movie) shot with minimum footage (for 12,000 feet length of the movie, he utilized 18000 feet Raw Stock Negative). Working days for the movie was18 days only, and the budget of the film was 30 lac's.
*2007 "Toss" (Telugu movie) was the first Digital film in India to be shot with the "Thomson Viper Filmstream camera" (Completely Digital). Telugu Cinema industry called him "Pioneer of the Digital Cinema".
*2008 "Myaav" (Telugu Movie) was shot with single lens (Anamorphic 75mm Focal length) and also available light source.
*2011 "Prayogam" (Telugu movie) Shot in 6 days with "Panasonic AG-AF 100" HD Camera (Micro Four thirds system). (Director Bhanu Prakash Balusu got the "Best Debut Director" AP State Nandi award).
