Jennifer Huang(II)
- Producer
- Writer
- Director
In seventeen years of documentary production, Jennifer has been detained in a shipping container in Papua New Guinea, saved from a sinking boat by Filipino urchin fisherpeople, and leapt from a crashing snowmobile in Colorado. But most memorable are the conversations she's had with survivors contending with the long term trauma, artists, chefs, and scientists expanding our perspectives, and tireless leaders working against injustice, exploitation, and fear. She is director of The Long Rescue, following teens rebuilding their lives after sex trafficking in the Philippines. Her first short documentary, This Adventure Called California, is the emotional journey Arnoldo Lopez, who was labor trafficked in San Francisco
Previously, she co-produced From Baghdad to the Bay, and Standing on Sacred Ground. Additionally, she worked at KQED on the American Masters documentary, Jacques Pepin: The Art of Craft, and at Lucasfilm, wrote and produced Harlem's Hellfighters: Black Soldiers of World War I and associate-produced nine other films. She has worked as a writer, field producer and associate producer on independent films and productions for American Masters, PBS, Anonymous Content, the Travel Channel, HGTV, TNT and AZN TV.
