As a photographer, Ashly specializes in capturing the energy of live music and the essence of extraordinary individuals in action. Her experience as a hand model has given her an edge in on-set photography, where her ability to navigate sets seamlessly, her keen eye for detail, and her calm demeanor have made her a trusted name in Unit Still Photography. Her work has been featured in prominent publications such as PDN, The Village Voice, The LA Times, Theater Mania, and RVA Mag, among others.
Ashly's passion for the arts began early. Growing up in Virginia, she pursued acting from a young age, earning a spot as a For Kids' Sake Ambassador on WTVR TV 6, where she co-hosted a children's TV show and honed her public speaking skills. She further developed her craft through the Virginia Commonwealth University's Theatre with Children for Children program and as a Theatre Major at James Madison University, where she took on diverse roles-from Arkadina in The Seagull to Lady Nannycoo in The Frog Prince. Her love for theater extended behind the scenes, where she worked in lighting, costume design, and directing.
While acting was her first love, Ashly's career took an unexpected turn when her hands caught the attention of a local agent, launching her into the world of hand modeling. Today, her hands are instantly recognizable-featured on product packaging for brands like Betty Crocker, Incoco, and Hamilton Beach, as well as in commercials for Pepsi, McDonald's, and Campbell's Soup.
Ashly continues to thrive at the intersection of art and storytelling, bringing creativity and professionalism to every project she undertakes.
