Kelly Clarkson Enlists Stranger Things’ Gaten Matarazzo to Help Her Sing a We Day Duet
Kelly Clarkson may be an amazing singer, but sometimes even she needs a little help warming up.

In a promo video for We Day — a celebration which recognizes extraordinary young Americans who are creating change within their communities and around the globe — Clarkson, 35, gets some much-needed assistance from 15-year-old Gaten Matarazzo, who showed up just in time to give her a lift on the We Day Shuttle.

“Are you excited for We Day?” the Stranger Things star asked.

“I am excited,” she replied, before admitting she was also nervous.

Although Matarazzo reassured her that everything would be fine, Clarkson knew

  • DailyDead
[To get you into the spooky spirit, the Daily Dead team is spotlighting double features that we think would be fun to watch this Halloween season. Check here for more double feature recommendations and other Halloween 2017 coverage.]

There’s nothing quite like an outside threat to bring a family together, especially when that threat is of the undead variety. Siblings may not always get along, but when your sister’s soul is sought by a coven of witches, or when your mom is eyed as an eternal bride by a coffin-dwelling creep, it’s time to take those Sister Sledge lyrics to heart and become a family that can overcome anything—including wicked spells and sharp fangs. Set on respective fateful nights where the future of a homestead hangs in the balance and its up to siblings to save it, Mom’s Got a Date with a Vampire and Hocus Pocus are family-friendly films that make for a great double feature during the Halloween season.

Perhaps the less-known of the two films, Mom’s Got a Date with a Vampire will likely ring a nostalgic bell for

Cold Feet finale review – I dreaded this reunion but it was good to catch up with old friends

Thirteen years on, this series reboot has been full of warmth, wit and soap-opera moments

Is that it, already? The end of Cold Feet (ITV)? It’s going out with a party, Adam’s wrap-party for his 40s. What, it’s only his 49th, he complains. Shut up, Adam, you’re 50. And here’s A-ha to prove it. Plus the Eurythmics, Odyssey, Abba, Bob Marley, Sister Sledge and lots more age-appropriate dad-disco music.

The party, arranged by will-they-won’t-they Tina is the main timeframe for the episode, from which it dips repeatedly back into the recent past. Yo-yo TV, is the technical term. So here’s Karen signing a hot new writer to her new publishing house. And celebrating with a huge advance (know what I mean) from her inappropriately young, it-was-meant-to-be-a-one-off, social-media partner.

Masters of Cinema Cast – Episode 52 – Soul Power

We return with a look at Soul Power, enjoy!

From Masters of Cinema:

Soul Power is a vérité documentary – compiled entirely from footage shot in 1974 – of the astonishing back-to-Africa 3-day music festival “Zaire ‘74”. It was held in Kinshasa ahead of the biggest boxing event of all time: the Muhammad AliGeorge Foreman “Rumble in the Jungle”. Directed by Jeffrey Levy-Hinte, editor of Leon Gast’s Oscar®-winning (Best Documentary) When We Were Kings, and sourced from the same archival pool, Soul Power features a legendary line-up of African and African-diaspora musicians – all of whom are at the very peak of their creative powers.

Alongside Ali’s wit and wisdom – profoundly lyrical in its own right – vibrant street scenes of downtown Kinshasa, and “fly-on-the-wall” footage of the festival’s staging, rehearsals, and jams, the three nights of concerts (lensed by Albert Maysles and a host of other legendary cameramen) offer electrifying performances by James Brown,

amfAR’s Gala Dinner Brings In Big Bucks, Kevin Spacey As Johnny Carson, And Two People Who Win The Chance To Live In Leonardo DiCaprio’s House — Cannes

It was a disco theme for amfAR’s 23rd annual Cinema Against AIDS event at the Hotel Du Cap at the Cannes Film Festival, and that meant none other than The Village People and Sister Sledge invaded the ritzy party, each doing one of their iconic songs ( “Ymca” and “We Are Family” — you guess who did what). The event which counts Harry Winston, Bold Films and The Weinstein Company among its loyal sponsors (along with Moet Hennessey and Renault) again raised tons of dough…

Empire Recap: He Kissed a Girl (¡!¡!) — Did He Like It?
Poor Laz Delgado!

Adam Rodriguez’s duplicitous Empire character ends this week’s episode — and possibly his run on the series — on the brink of being turned into just another Malbec stain on Cookie’s office carpet, but winds up getting upstaged by a vomiting junkie, a completely crazy kiss and (not so surprisingly) the Lyon matriarch’s eye-popping new jacket (a Tom Ford for Sesame Street original, naturally).

Nile Rodgers knows how to work a crowd. The iconic songwriter-producer-guitarist transformed Jimmy Kimmel Live! into a disco on Tuesday with a boisterous performance of the new Chic single, "I'll Be There."
