Marc Rico Ludwig
A graduate from the University of Alberta's Acting Program with over a decade of theatre experience, Marc has toured with Alberta Opera's production of Jack and the Beanstalk as the Giant, starred in the world-premiere of Colleen Murphy's Bright Burning, wrote and directed for Blackout Sketch Comedy and performed for The 11'O Clock Number, the long-form musical improv troupe. Other notable shows include Grindstone Theatre's Urinetown, In Arms Theatre's Harun, and Studio Theatre's Twelfth Night and Tempest. He was involved in Festivals such as the Edmonton Fringe, Nextfest, New Works and Ignite.

Now based in Ontario, he worked with several theatre companies in the area such as Whitby Courthouse Theatre for It's Only A Play as Frank Finger and Little Women: The Musical as John, Northumberland Players' Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley as Mr. Darcy and All My Sons as Chris, Port Hope Capitol Theatre's The Importance of Being Ernest as Jack, and most recently slaying Candarian Demons onstage as Ash in Mansfield Entertainment's Evil Dead: The Musical.

During that time, he has also kick-started his professional voice acting and film career. After finding himself on-set as an extra for The Amazing Race Canada several years ago, he was hooked. Since then he's been in several Toronto-based short films, such as NOW PLAYING, Forced Friendship and Cherrybomb. Marc cannot wait to expand his experience in Toronto's vibrant film industry, and is furthering his education at the Toronto Academy of Acting for Film and Television. Also catch him in audio performances such as the Narrator in The Tales of The Wasted West, Lucas in Mount Oblivion (The Heap), as Rick in Serving Ruth (Twisted Tales of Madness and Murder) and as Detective Nathaniel Silver in Season 1 of Darkstead, to be released in the fall of 2022! Fingers crossed that Marc can soon voice a character in a video game franchise, a dream of his since childhood!

When he's not behind the camera, onstage or in front of the mic, Marc is a writer at heart and in addition to spending almost every Tuesday night inventing stories through table-top games (MASKS is his go-to), he has helped in the creative development of many pieces of new work. He is considered an asset in exploring scripts and is often asked to read for new plays, films and musicals. There he always brings his generous perspective and technical expertise to support in creation of the best work possible. In 2021, he remotely workshopped Vancouver-based Theatre Terrific's In-TEA-macy. He is ecstatic about being able to share his own written pieces on the stage and screen soon. Specifically, he has joined the Creator's Unit at Port Hope's Capitol Theatre in order to finish writing A Canadian For A Canadian, which is nearing its final stage of writing development, and will be read publicly in the fall of 2023.

Furthermore, Marc values teaching and has worked as an Instructor for Trickster Theatre, a Supervisor at Artstrek Theatre Camp, led acting workshops for the Northumberland Players and taught improv through Peterborough Academy of Performing Arts. In the fall of 2022, Marc launched Impulse Improv, a Peterborough-based improv troupe that he co-founded, focusing on bringing more improv/comedy training and opportunities to his community.
