The truth is the Labour Party have lost all the intellectual arguments
of the '80s: council house sales, nuclear, privatization, tax levels,
you name it, the Labour Party fought all the battles in my early
political life and they lost the lot, so they now have to conform to a
world global pattern of how governments can behave and there's no going
back.
