Zachary Chabot (he/him) is a bilingual independent filmmaker based in Gatineau, Québec. He began his artistic career in 2005 as an actor. His most notable roles are Ewart in Schoolhouse (2017) and Linus Van Pelt in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (2016).
Since making the switch to filmmaking in 2019, he has directed and produced several award-winning short films, including Rewind (2019), Road Trip (2020), FML (2023), Bytowne (2024) and Shoes in the City (2025). His films have been featured at Canadian Screen Award-qualifying festivals, such as le Festival du Film de L'Outaouais.
Chabot's films explore themes of human connection and communication, reflecting his commitment to authentic storytelling in Canadian cinema.
Along with his personal endeavors, Zachary works full-time at Prestigo Médias, where he has been serving as the post-production and distribution coordinator since 2021. He has been the Jury President of the Ottawa Canadian Film Festival (OCan) since 2024. Additionally, he contributes to Film613, writing articles and reviews to assist the Ottawa-Outaouais cinema scene.
