Nameer Alashqar

With the cultural mix between where he came from (Iraq/Syria) and where he lives now (Sydney), Nameer applies his design experience and creative imaginative ability to the process of storytelling. Helmed with a bachelor's Degree in Arts from the University of Baghdad, and a Diploma of Screen and media from Sydney Film School, where he directed his first short film 'UNDER THE GRAPEVINE' while studying. Nameer has since gone on to work with the ABC on TV Series 'House of Gods'. Nameer has extensive experience working behind the lens, having worked as DP on award-winning films such as 'INDIGO' short film and 'ROAR: A Short Story' and 'Matriarch', reflected in his impressive showreel.
