- Kurt Middendorf was born on September 18, 1886 in Barmen, Germany. He is known for Abschiedswalzer (1934), Der Bankspion (1921) and Lilli (1919).
- As a trained actor and singer he made his stage debut at the theater in Barmen in 1905. Afterwards followed engagements in Hamburg, Zürich and Dortmund among others.
