Fernando is a Chilean-New Zealander cinematographer based between Atlanta, GA and Los Angeles, CA. He has been working in different markets around the world, like Canada, Mexico, the UK, New Zealand, Australia, Chile and Colombia among others. He is an active member of the Mexican Society of Cinematographers and the ICG Local 600. Cinematographer of the Award winning Ariel ( Mexican Oscars ) for best short documentary "Jose Barrientos" and winner of Best Cinematography for the prestigious Kodak Commercial Competition in the UK for his commercial Levi's White Tap. He also won the award Pantalla de Cristal in 2008 for his commercial related to the National Tourism Campaign in Mexico "Mexico en tus Sentidos". He has a strong experience on commercials and television series like Will Trent ( ABC/HULU ), Death and other Details ( ABC/HULU ), Black Mafia Family ( STARZ ), Black Lightning Season (CW/WB), Queens (ABC), Long Slow Exhale (PARAMOUNT), All Rise (CBS ) to mention a few. He has also worked and shot feature films. He believes that a cinematographer is a visual story teller that is there to serve the story and the script, to support and enhance the vision of the director and to contribute with his craft and experience to a successful and creative production.
