Pavel Vávra graduated in IT from the Ceská Lípa Technical Highschool. Since 2013, he has learned film basics at film training courses of the Ambrozia art agency, which he has led as a lecturer since 2017 and has been co-organizing the FAF film festival since 2019. In 2023, he graduated from the Faculty of Multimedia Communications of Tomas Bata University in Zlín with a degree in cinematography. He collaborated with Tomás Magnusek as an editor on the films Stárí není pro sraby (2022) and Bastardi: Reparát (2023), which was his camera debut.
