Yvonne YF Chan

Yvonne Yu-Feng Chan, MD, PhD is a Chinese American actor and former emergency medicine physician. Born in Taiwan and immigrated to the United States with her family at age eight. Though drawn to performing arts since childhood, Yvonne initially pursued a career in medicine, becoming her family's first medical doctor and female PhD scientist. Before transitioning to acting, Yvonne served as an ER doctor in New York City and held prestigious positions including Director of the Center for Digital Health at a leading medical school and Senior Director for Digital Medicine at a global pharmaceutical company. Following her successful career in medicine and research, she committed herself to acting full-time, appearing in films, television shows, commercials, and print campaigns. Yvonne brings her wealth of life experiences and understanding of human nature to her artistic work. Drawing from her background in medicine, research, and multicultural upbringing, she approaches each role with depth and authenticity. She views the entertainment industry as a powerful medium for storytelling that can heal, inspire, and foster connection across all communities.
