Barry Ratcliffe is best known as Don Foushee on the hit TV series "Outsiders". Other notable characters include city councilman Jason Tyler on the Lifetime drama "Army Wives", the cowardly lion on the 2012 Starz miniseries "The Witches of Oz", and as an auctioneer on all 3 networks as well as the Nicholas Sparks film "The Longest Ride".

His wide range spans from comedy to drama on such shows as "Nashville", "Person of Interest",the award winning "House of Cards", Tyler Perry's "The Haves and The Have Nots", "White Collar", "Brothers and Sisters", and many more. His film resume is equally extensive and varied from his latest "Masterminds" with Zach Galifianakis and Owen Wilson in Seth MacFarlane's "Ted 2" with Liam Neeson and Mark Wahlberg,to recreating the cowardly lion role in the feature film "Dorothy and the Witches of Oz".

Born and raised on a farm in the mountains of Virginia, Barry Ratcliffe was the youngest of 7 among 5 boys and 2 girls. In high school, Barry was active in sports, politics, and performance arts. Upon graduating, he completed a course at Carolina School of Broadcasting, a 2 year degree in engineering from Virginia Western, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from prestigious Radford University in Journalism and Theatre. While attending Radford, he performed in plays, hosted a television show, was President of the Student Body for 2 years, Chairman of 4 activity organizations, host for the Miss Radford Pageant for 2 years, active in sports, as well as worked a full time job managing the athletic facilities on campus. After earning a degree at Radford, Barry compiled an extensive resume in corporate America and in the entertainment field. His eclectic experience includes life guarding at the beach, managing a state water park, Manager and National Corporate Trainer for Roger Penske, Manager for Hertz Car Rental at their largest revenue location in the world, 13 state Area Manager for Budget Truck Rental, Sales Manager for 65 million dollars Sun Microsystems National Sales Group, and Business Development Manager for the California Drug free Workplace Programs.

He started his entertainment career as a sketch artist and detective on the CBS show Nash Bridges with Don Johnson and Cheech Marin for 6 years, 118 episodes. His television appearances include a recurring role as Jason Tyler on Lifetime's number one show, "Army Wives", guest Starring on the award winning ABC show "Brothers and Sisters", guest starring on CBS's fasting growing drama "Person of Interest", guest starring on Tyler Perry's "The Haves and the Have Nots", costarring on "The Wish List" with Jennifer Esposito, playing a white house correspondent on the Emmy award winning show "House of Cards", costarring on the Emmy nominated show "Nashville", costarring on the USA network series "White Collar", a recurring role as Dr. David Moss, on TLC's number one show,"Untold Stories of the ER", as well as playing the lead investigator on "The Michael Jackson Trial" on E!, "Americas Most Wanted", "Threshold","Nip Tuck", "The Plot to Kill Nixon", "The Hiedi Fliess Story", and many others. He hosted "In the Cellar" for 7 seasons, and has acted in 40+ films from independent, too big budget features including stunts, as well as opened as a Stand Up Comedian for acts like Juice Newton, Lee Greenwood, and others.

Barry is starring in 8 films, including the role of a lifetime recreating the cowardly lion in the Leigh Scott film "Dorothy and The Witches of Oz" with Christopher Lloyd, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, Eliza Swenson, Al Snow, Ethan Embry, Mia Sara, Jeffrey Combs, Lance Henriksen, Noel Thurman, and Sasha Jackson. He is currently in 4 big budget box office hits, "The Longest Ride", "Ted 2", "Masterminds", and "Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland." He plays Billy Jack in the horror thriller "Penny Dreadful Picture Show" , and is also Reece Witherspoon"s dance instructor in "Water for Elephants". He has also just completed writing and starring in the feature film "Pocahauntus", and has also produced on 5 films.

Managed to *actually* break a leg during an audition. While auditioning for the film "Dog Tags" with Director Damion Dietz, his leg snapped in half due to a ruptured ACL. He tried to limp home two blocks away in Beverly Hills, but collapsed before he could make it. The film was delayed for over a year due to other reasons, but when it came time to film, Barry was chosen for the role of Uncle Sam, and the film has since been completed and released.
Was a lifeguard at Myrtle Beach, SC, for 6 summers.
Is blind in one eye.
Best male friend is Al Snow, actor and former WWE Superstar, now TNA host with Hulk Hogan on Impact Wrestling. They even take a once a year road trip across the US.
Best female friend is Eliza Swenson, who plays the wicked witch in "Dorothy and The Witches of Oz".
