Early Life
Blesson Thomas is the youngest son of Thomas P T and Mini John, born in Iritty located in the Kannur district of Kerala, India. He did his schooling at the Government Higher Secondary School, Meenanadi, Wayanad, and completed his bachelor's degree in Music from RLV College of Music and Fine Arts Thripunithura, Kochi. He was trained in Carnatic Music and Piano from a very young age. He has also shown his prowess in music direction by assisting many music directors right after his graduation.
Career Blesson Thomas is an Indian music director, film director, music programmer and singer. He started his career composing music for television and commercials, he has nearly a thousand jingles to his credit. As a keyboard programmer, he has collaborated with many famous music directors including Tony joseph Pallivathukal and Jubair Muhammed. He is also the founder of a music band named Wolf tone music. Which has already established their fame through various programmes they have done all along with Kerala. Later they launched Wolf Tone Production Company, which eventually converted to a Youtube Channel. He got his first breakthrough with a music cover of 'Nee himamazhayay' which was originally starred by renowned Malayalam actors, Tovino Thomas and Samyuktha Menon for the Malayalam movie 'Edakkad Battalion 06'. This cover got recognised by the music director and the actors themselves and was shared through their social media handles. He has also worked with Devana Suresh on several projects. His song about Ramanattukara, a place in the Calicut district has also got wide acclaim from various audiences.
Film Direction Blesson started his career in film by being an associate director to a short film titled 'Marleyude Pretham' He has done the background score for the short film 'Anu' with Deepak Dharmadam playing a major character. This short film received appreciation from various spheres and was shared by famous Malayalam Actors, Mohan Lal and Mammootty through their social media handles. His recent work is a directorial debut of a science fiction short film titled 'Spyware'.
Awards His directorial debut 'Spyware' (2021 ), a science fiction short film, bagged the best science fiction award in Alternative Film Festival Toronto in 2021 September. Which makes it the first Indian short film to win that award. 'Spyware' has also been shortlisted for more than 20 international awards, waiting to add more feathers to its hat.
