Oh, Sassenachs. I don't know where the time has gone, but Droughtlander has officially started. I know. These next few months, or maybe even a year (?), are going to be difficult to get through. But as always, we will together. Somehow.
It's so bittersweet to have reached this point as well. We know that Outlander season 8 is confirmed, has finished filming, and our favorite and fabulous stars have officially wrapped their work on the show. My best guess right now is that there's post-production to go through, which includes timely work on editing and CGI.
Well, even though the final season is coming up, at least we still have a good amount of time left before our goodbyes. There's going to be promotion and more things to get excited about. Don't you worry! And at least we also have the prequel series, Outlander: Blood of My Blood, coming in summer 2025 as well.

Outlander season 7, episode 15, ended on a cliffhanger, but this couldn't have happened at a better time for the Starz series. The last audience saw, Claire Fraser was about to undergo a complicated surgery while Jamie sat praying by her side. She had wound up caught in the crossfire during the Battle of Monmouth, and the gunshot wound to her abdomen was deemed hopeless by the Continental physician. Thankfully, Denzell Hunter, who had trained under Claire herself, stepped in to help. Still, this Outlander episode ended without revealing whether Claire would live or die.
Unfortunately, Starz has extended the amount of time it will take for audiences to get any answers. While new episodes of Outlander season 7 had been released weekly, the finale was pushed off until January 17, 2025. This means fans have to wait two whole weeks between Claire getting shot and discovering what will come of her. As frustrating as this is,...

Warning! Spoilers for Outlander season 7, episode 15 ahead!
Roger took a lot of heat for a decision he made in Outlander season 7, episode 15, but he ultimately saved the series from a disgusting book moment. This is an example of the Starz TV show diverting from Diana Gabaldon's books, but in this case, it was ultimately for the best. The subtle change in Roger's decision making allowed his and Buck's story in 1739 to go in a different direction. Sure, Buck was pretty angry at Roger for it in this Outlander episode. However, the character's season 7 story ended in a much more heartwarming way as a result.
Earlier in Outlander season 7, Roger in Buck went back in time in search of Jemmy, who Rob Cameron abducted. What they didn't know was that Rob had never actually taken Jem through the stones, but their trip to the 18th century was far from a waste of time.

Warning! Spoilers for Outlander season 7, episode 15 ahead!
Roger sent Brainna a letter through time in Outlander, and the fact that this actually got to her is pretty outrageous. The MacKenzies have been separated for most of Outlander season 7, part 2, since Roger went to the past to find young Jemmy while Brianna remained in the 20th century. In episode 15, Brianna was prepared to head to the past to tell Roger that she had found their son, but she didn't know when Roger was. Luckily, she found a 200-year-old letter from her husband, allowing her to focus her time traveling on 1739.
Roger traveled through the stones in Outlander season 7 because Rob Cameron kidnapped Jemmy. The abductor made it look like he had taken Jemmy to the 18th century, so Roger wasted no time going after them. However, while thinking of his son, Roger thought for a split second about his father. The seventh season of Outlander will finally come to an end this Friday with an episode entitled "A Hundred Thousand Angels." We'll catch up with Jamie and Claire Fraser, obviously, who are having a rough time of it on the Revolutionary War battlefield, but also with their daughter Brianna, who has been facing her own struggles a couple hundred years in the future.
“She's been through so much, but I think losing your child tops it all," actor Sophie Skelton told Town and Country Magazine about Brianna's plight. "She's just been a bit of a hot mess this season, really. It's just a horrific thing for her to be going through.”
She's a tough nut to crack, but she's an exceedingly loyal person. She defends other people better than she defends herself. And I think if you hurt somebody who is close to Brianna, that is actually the biggest pain...

‘Outlander’ is currently airing part 2 of its second season. The penultimate episode of Season 7, set to air on January 3, 2025, pays a big tribute to Diana Gabaldon’s books. Titled “Written in My Own Heart’s Blood,” the episode shares its name with Gabaldon’s eighth novel.
This follows a pattern from past seasons, where episode titles have referenced her books, like “Dragonfly in Amber” and “The Fiery Cross.” Recently, Gabaldon also wrote an episode for the show and shared her thoughts on the experience.
The next episode’s title comes from the eighth book, but that doesn’t mean the story will be exactly like the book. However, it hints that some major events from the novel might happen before the season ends.
Diana Gabaldon wrote the most recent ‘Outlander’ episode, “Ye Dinna Get Used To It,” marking only her third script for the show. While the production team keeps her involved,...

The most recent episode of Outlander, "Ye Dinna Get Used to It," featured some major turns for the characters, including a reunion between Jamie, Claire and Lord John Grey as well as a dinner with famous historical figures like George Washington and the Marquis de Lafayette. It was also a special episode because it was written by Diana Gabaldon, the author of the Outlander book series. This is the third episode she's written in the history of the series, and she talked about the process to Parade.
“They did change quite a bit from the first draft, but largely to change emphasis, rather than plot," Gabaldon said. “Some lines were changed—when Claire (book) sees Jamie in his new uniform and he asks whether he looks decent to inspect troops, she replies, ‘You look like bloody Mars, god of war. You're likely to frighten your men.’ To which he replies,...

Warning! Spoilers for Outlander season 7, episode 14 ahead!
The ending of Outlander season 7, episode 14 left William in danger, and only Lord John has a chance to save him. Of course, that's not all that is interesting about this installment in the fantasy time-travel series. Episode 14, "Ye Dinna Get Used to It," begins with a flashback to the year 1775, when Lord John Grey promised his brother Hal that he would never accept American independence. This was followed up by a scene set two years later, during which John was forced to swear loyalty to the Continental Army to save his own life. Of course, this didn't last long since he was reunited with Jamie and Claire.
Speaking of Jamie and Claire, Outlander season 7, episode 14 saw this couple become even more critical to the Revolution, as they hosted a dinner with George Washington and some of his most important colleagues. Then, in the 1970s,...

I was a hop, skip, and jump away from breaking out into song during this week's episode, mainly because of the historical cameos that popped up. Hamilton crossed paths with Outlander this week, with both General George Washington and Marquis de Lafayette making an appearance. If you're anything like me, you want to start singing your favorite songs fro the musical Hamilton.
In any case, this week's episode had a lot going on, with the Frasers finally on the precipice of the American Revolutionary War. It feels like this moment has been teased for a very long time, but it is finally here, and things look pretty frightening.
We also catch up with William (Charles Vandevaart), who is on his own journey after learning the truth of his father's identity: it's Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan). And we check in on Lord John Grey (David Berry), who has been on an...

Warning: This post contains spoilers for Outlander Season 7, Episode 14
Outlander season 7, episode 14, "Ye Dinna Get Used To It," has officially set almost all the characters on their ultimate paths for the rest of the season. With only two episodes left, season 7 has a lot of tension to resolve before the season finale, but the interweaving threads of the stories are converging. While Outlander season 7, episode 13, was a bit slower than some of the action-oriented installments of the season, "Ye Dinna Get Used To It" has brought back the heightened drama and fast pace, setting up a strong conclusion.
Outlander follows Claire Randall, a married nurse from 1945, who is transported back to 1743 Scotland. Amidst political intrigue and danger, she navigates life in the past and becomes torn between loyalty to her husband and the love for a dashing young warrior.

Outlander season 7 episode 14, "Ye Dinna Get Used to It," is now streaming on Starz, which means it's time for our weekly review. As a reminder, I'm a show-only fan so my views will reflect that. So what happened to Lord John? What comes next for Bree and the kids? We get some of those answers in the episode. Spoilers Below.

Let's start with the Frasers. General James Fraser is reporting for duty. And if I was under his command, I'd follow that man anywhere. Just saying. He looks so handsome in this uniform, and it's so much better than the red coat he was forced to wear back in season 5. This is a big responsibility on Jamie's shoulders. Though he's lead men into battle before, it hasn't been such a big gorup before. And he feels the weight of that.

Wow, last week's episode of Outlander season 7 moved the story along very nicely, especially when it comes to the Brianna, Roger, and Buck storylines. Yes, now we have some more questions rather than all the answers. But, some plot points did start to get resolved. And hopefully that continues with this week's new episode as well!

Warning! Spoilers for the Outlander books and season 7 ahead!
Outlander season 7 saw Jamie and Claire brought back together yet again, but the next big reunion of the series will be so much better. This Starz fantasy has hinged on Jamie and Claire being separated and reunited, with the star-crossed-lovers angle brought in around every turn. It seems this couple is constantly having to fight against fate, time, and space to be together, and this has made the moments that they are finally back in each other's arms all the more meaningful. However, as this same storyline in Outlander gets a little worn out, another big reunion will serve as the emotional backbone of the series.
In Outlander season 7, Claire and Jamie were once again separated when the former returned to the American Colonies without her husband. The news that Jamie had been lost at sea was a bit exhausting to...

Roger went back in time, believing that Rob Cameron had taken Jemmy through the stones to find the Jacobite gold. Outlander season 7's episode 13, "Hello, Goodbye," packs on the nostalgia from the earliest seasons of the show and continues the trend of father-son relationships driving the plot forward. After Outlander season 7, episode 12, there are plenty of questions still left about the fate of Lord John and William after being estranged from Jamie in the wake of his presumed death and reappearance. However, "Hello, Goodbye" provides some touching parallels throughout the episode. As families are reunited, they're simultaneously torn apart elsewhere, and lovers old and new learn from each other.

Gosh, this second half of Outlander season 7 is going by so fast! I of course love it when there's new episodes to watch. But that does put us closer to a Droughtlander. Every episode in this season of Outlander thus far has left us on the edge of our seats for one reason or another. Whether it was wondering if Jamie (Sam Heughan) has died in a shipwreck or wondering if Lord John Grey (David Berry) had died from a gunshot, there has been so much going on.
The creators and executive producers of the series had been alluding to a very emotional journey ahead, and they were not wrong. There has been so much action and drama, and this week's episode continues to pack the punches in.
We have a lot to discuss, so let's not waste a single second and get right into the chaos of "Hello, Goodbye."
The past meets the present, er the present meets the past?
Buck (Diarmaid Murtagh) and Roger (Richard Rankin) open up the episode this week as they continue their search to potentially find Roger's father.

Oh, Outlander. This show has taken us on a rollercoaster ride of emotions ever since it first started. So I don't know why I still get surprised when the historical drama manages to shock me. After learning the truth about Lord John and Claire sleeping together in last week's episode and William's Fraser spiral, what could be coming up next? Well, let's find out!
But first, you've got to know the details on how to tune in to Outlander season 7 episode 13, "Hello, Goodbye." However, episodes aren't released at the same time on streaming and television so there's different release times to be aware of. And actually, technically, different release days because of time zone differences. Don't worry, we break it all down for you below:

Warning! Spoilers for Outlander season 7, episode 11 ahead!
Rob Cameron has become quite a problem in Outlander, but who is he really, and what has he done with Jemmy? Throughout season 7, it has become increasingly clear that Rob cannot be trusted. He quickly made an enemy of Brianna and Roger MacKenzie but somehow managed to wiggle his way into their good graces all the same. Still, there was always something off about Rob, and his villainous position was confirmed at the end of Outlander season 7, part 1 when he kidnapped Jemmy and seemingly took him through the standing stones to a different time.
Though the Outlander TV show provided a motive for Rob Cameron's actions, a great deal of mystery is left around his character. This has led to a variety of theories about who he is, where he came from, and why he was so quick to believe in time travel or hidden Jacobite gold.

Outlander season 7, episode 11 takes an exciting step forward in Claire and Jamie's story with a cliffhanger ending that presents a series of intriguing new questions. Episode 10 ended with Lord John Grey asking Claire to marry him following Jamie's presumed death since this was the only way she could avoid being hanged as a rebel spy. This led directly into the start of Outlander season 7, episode 11, which dived right into the nuptials between this reluctant pair. Claire was disconnected from the entire affair, still overtaken by grief. Still, she said her part and officially became Mrs. Lord John Grey.

Ok, Sassenachs. Um, are we all ok because if I'm honest with you, I'm still processing what my eyes just witnessed in Outlander season 7 episode 11, "A Hundredweight of Stones." Whenever you think this show can't surprise you more, it goes and does just that. Here's our review of the episode on Starz. I'm a show-only fan so my views reflect that. Spoilers Below.
Courtesy: Starz
The episode starts with Claire and Lord John geting married, and it hurts my heart to see as much as it's obviously hurting Claire in her grief. Look, we're all fans of Lord John. But with what comes next, I don't care how much we love a character. Jamie and Claire should only be with each other at this point no matter the circumstances.
Caitríona Balfe just continues to amaze me with her acting and just how talented she is. Her absolute heartbreak and torture...

Last week's episode of Outlander was...interesting, to say the least. I am not sure if interesting is the correct word, because I was suffering from intense anxiety after learning that Jamie (Sam Heughan) was no more. However, I refused to believe it then and I maintained that mindset as I started this new episode, "A Hundredweight of Stones."
Not only did we learn of Jamie's supposed demise in last week's episode, we also learned that Lord John (David Berry) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) must marry immediately. This is primarily due to the fact that she is being accused of being a spy, and in order to protect her, this is a step they must take.
What about Jamie? He is going to come back, right? They can't quite possibly do this...can they?
Tune in below to read our review to find out what goes down in "A Hundredweight...

Outlander Season 7, Episode 10 review: Disaster strikes (again!) as Claire learns gut-wrenching news

Outlander is only two episodes into the second half of its seventh season and chaos is already ensuing, with no signs of stopping. As we saw in the premiere, the story is picking up rapidly. We've already watched the Frasers return to Scotland and then promptly after watched Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Young Ian (John Bell) leave for America to help Lord John Grey's (David Berry) nephew.
If you are a long-time fan of Outlander, you know good things can never come from Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire separating. It never sits well with me, and this week's episode proves exactly why that feeling is warranted.
A lot takes place in "Brotherly Love." It's filled with moments that remind me that this series is inching closer to its end and thus packing in all the punches it can along the way.

Outlander Season 7 has returned and each of the two episodes released so far has been a constant rollercoaster for Richard Rankin's Roger MacKenzie. Roger, alongside his cousin, Buck (Diarmaid Murtagh), have traveled back in time to search for Roger’s kidnapped son, Jemmy (Blake Johnston-Miller). The mid-season premiere saw the pair landing in the wrong time period, with constant shocking revelations following. Friday's episode was no different, as Roger's world turns upside down even further, as he realizes that the faerie man who he'd presumed to be Rob Cameron (Chris Fulton) - the man who kidnapped Jem - was in fact his own father.

Warning! Spoilers for Outlander season 7, episode 10 ahead!
Roger makes a miraculous discovery in Outlander season 7, episode 10, further proving that time travel is never a coincidence in this fantasy series. At the start of season 7, part 2, Roger heads through the standing stones at Craigh na Dun, believing that his son Jemmy has been taken by Rob Cameron to retrieve the hidden Jacobite gold. When he emerged on the other side of time, Roger expected to have landed in the 1770s, during Jamie and Claire's present. However, he instead traveled back much further in time, but it seems it was no accident after all.
After heading to Lallbroch in Outlander season 7, episode 9, and discovering Brain Fraser (Jamie's father) was still serving as Laird, Roger quickly realized that he and his companion, Buck, were in the year 1739. They ran into some other familiar faces as well, including Geillis Duncan and Dougal MacKenzie, and...

Warning! Spoilers for Outlander season 7, episode 10 ahead!
Outlander season 7, episode 10 saw the conflict between Arch Bug and Ian Murray come to a close after a long, tragic history. Mr. Bug had been trailing Ian throughout most of season 7 and set his sights on the Quaker Rachel Hunter at the start of part 2. In episode 10, the old man finally made his move, kidnapping Rachel and waiting for Ian to come looking for her. Mr. Bug planned to murder the girl in front of Ian, thus exacting his revenge. Thankfully, William Ransom turned up and saved the day—but why did all this happen to begin with?
Mr. and Mrs. Bug lived at Fraser's Ridge in Outlander and grew quite close with the Fraser family. Young Ian saw Mrs. Bug as a sort of grandmother figure, and the old woman returned the sentiment, looking out for him when she could. She even...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Outlander, Season 7, Episode 10, “Brotherly Love.”] Outlander made way for two major returns in its latest episode, “Brotherly Love,” as Lotte Verbeek and Graham McTavish reprised their roles as Geillis Duncan and Dougal MacKenzie. But while fans may have been clued into their latest appearance, the context around it became clear as this installment unfolded. As fans were teased in the previous episode, Roger (Richard Rankin) was searching for his son Jemmy (Blake Johnston-Miller) and was directed towards Geillis. It turns out that there have been whisperings in the village about a “fairy man” who he thinks could be Rob Cameron (Chris Fulton). Sending out for the men who crossed paths with this “fairy man” a group of Highlanders come knocking on Geillis’s door, among them is Jamie’s (Sam Heughan) uncle, and Roger’s ancestor, Dougal. But instead of being familiar with one another, it turns out that this...

Warning! Spoilers for Outlander season 7, episode 10 ahead!
Things have really taken off in Outlander season 7, episode 10, with a twist ending that sets up an exciting continued story. The episode picks up with Claire's arrival in Philidelphia to perform surgery on Lord John Grey's severely injured nephew, while Jamie remains in Scotland to stay by Ian Murray's deathbed. Of course, it's not long before Claire gets up to some mischief, and she winds up agreeing to pass secret messages to rebels as she waits for Jamie to travel back to the Colonies following Ian's death.
While all this is happening in Outlander season 7, episode 10, Roger is still searching for his son, Jemmy, in 1739, believing that Rob Cameron came to this period through the standing stones. He ends up running into some familiar faces, including Geillis Duncan, Dougal MacKenzie, and Brian Fraser (Jamie's father). However, rather than finding Cameron or Jemmy,...

[Warning: The below and video above contain Major spoilers for Outlander, Season 7, Episode 10, “Brotherly Love.”] Outlander‘s journey into a new timeline continues as Roger (Richard Rankin) and Buck’s (Diarmaid Murtagh) adventure in the past puts them in the path of Geillis Duncan (Lotte Verbeek), years before she’d meet Claire (Caitriona Balfe). Eager to find his son Jemmy (Blake Johnston-Miller), Roger seeks answers about a “fairy man” he believes is Rob Cameron (Chris Fulton) who has been spotted in the area, and while Geillis doesn’t have all of the answers, there’s a promising lead from an unexpected source that ends up being Dougal MacKenzie (Graham McTavish). As Roger tries to comprehend the situation unfolding in front of his eyes, Buck is entirely unaware that they’re witnessing his parents’ first meeting. Starz While Roger understands the gravity of this meeting and knows the figures involved, Buck doesn’t even know that Geillis and Dougal are his...

Roger runs into a familiar face in Outlander season 7, episode 9, though she doesn't seem to recognize him. The appearance of Geillis Duncan was a significant surprise in Outlander's mid-season premiere since she met a bloody end back in season 3. Of course, when time travel is involved, anything is possible, and this mischievous character has officially made her way back into the story. It's unclear how much of a help or hindrance Geillis will be to Roger's journey, but if she recognizes a fellow time traveler in Outlander season 7, it could be a problem.
Outlander season 7, episode 9 sees Roger MacKenzie set out through the stones of Craigh na Dun in search of his son, Jemmy, who was kidnapped by Rob Cameron. True to its nature, Outlander returned with its Season 7 mid-season premiere, and there wasn't a shortage of exciting time-traveling twists to get into. Chief and perhaps, most significant among them was Roger (Richard Rankin) and Buck (Diarmaid Murtagh) being displaced in time to a period they were not expecting to arrive in. Having traveled through the standing stones at Craigh Na Dun to find Rogers son Jemmy (Blake Johnston-Miller), who was kidnapped by Rob Cameron (Chris Fulton). Roger and Buck find themselves in a time period where Jamie's father, Brian Fraser (Andrew Whipp), is still Laird at Lallybroch, with a younger Jenny (Kristin Atherton) helping run the household.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Outlander, Season 7, Episode 9, “Unfinished Business.”] Outlander‘s return has brought with it plenty of exciting time-traveling twists as Roger (Richard Rankin) and Buck (Diarmaid Murtagh) found themselves displaced in time to a period at Lallybroch where Brian Fraser (Andrew Whipp) is still Laird, overseeing his family, including a younger Jenny (Kristin Atherton). As viewers will recall, they traveled through the standing stones at Craigh Na Dun to find Roger’s son Jemmy (Blake Johnston-Miller), who was kidnapped by Rob Cameron (Chris Fulton). Fellow Outlander fans, we are back, Finally! It has been a literal eternity (or since August 2023) since we have been in the world of the Frasers, but I am so happy to be back!
The premiere episode of Season 7B had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish, and certainly threw me for a loop at many points. There is simply so much to discuss and unravel, and I can't wait to dive right into it.
However, before doing that, here is a very quick recap of where we left things when Outlander Season 7A ended: in the midst of the American Revolutionary War, Jamie (Sam Heughan), Claire (Caitriona Balfe), and Ian (John Hunter Bell) returned to Scotland after Jamie was tasked with bringing the body of Simon Fraser to his Scottish homeland. Before the long-running, beloved fantasy series comes to an end, Outlander must answer some pressing questions as season 7, part 2, and season 8 loom. Sam Heughan and Caitrona Balfe have played Jamie Fraser and Claire Randall Fraser in the Starz adaptation of Diana Gabaldon's book series since the premiere in 2014. After many years and instances of time travel since then, Claire and Jamie have found themselves in the thick of many revolutions and world events. As Outlander Season 8 draws closer, how the series will wrap up the story is of great importance.
It's been confirmed that Outlander season 8 will change the book's ending since Gabaldon likely won't be finished writing the last book in the series before season 8 premieres. As Outlander season 8 has already wrapped filming ahead of the premiere of season 7, part 2, the story's finale has been set in stone, and hopefully, the creative team has worked to wrap up every loose end.

Since 2014, the beloved Outlander novels by Diana Gabaldon have been brought to life onscreen by Starz. For over seven seasons, audiences have watched the sweeping love story between Claire and Jamie. Played by Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan, Claire is transported back in time from the 1940s to 18th century Scotland, where she meets the rugged and gorgeous Jamie. However, their connection is much more than physical, as the resulting stories and sacrifices make them one of the best couples in period romance TV shows. Outlander will conclude with season 8 and see the epic end of their story.
Now that Outlander season 8 has officially wrapped filming, it's likely that the wait between season 7, part 2, and the final installment of the time-bending series won't be as long as previous hiatuses. While most seasons of Outlander have had around thirteen episodes, season 6 was cut short, leading to a two-part seventh season. It's...

There's a little over a month and half until Outlander season 7 part 2 premieres on Starz, and I absolutely can't wait! I'm eagerly counting down the days, and looking forward to where the story goes next. The historical drama is always so great at giving us the unexpected and leaving us with intriguing cliffhangers. And that's what happened at the end of season 7 part 1.
Jamie, Claire, and Young Ian have finally made it back to Scotland after being away for years and years. It's going to be so good to see the Highlands once again! I'm emotional just thinking about it. The MacKenzies are in a very tough spot with Jemmy kidnapped by Rob Cameron and Bree and Roger now separated as he decides to go through the Stones after his son with Buck MacKenzie in tow.

Matthew B. Roberts on what it's like for the Frasers to head home again in Outlander season 7 part 2

Outlander season 7 part 2, aka the final eight episodes of the season, are finally making their way to us on Friday, Nov. 22, 2024 on Starz. There's still a ways to go, but that does mean that the closer we get to the premiere, the more teases start to come out about the next chapter of the epic time-travel drama.
In a recent interview with TVLine, executive producer Matthew B. Roberts shared a hint at what's to come for the Frasers - both the ones in the 18th century and the ones in the 1970s - including how it feels to be back home in Scotland for Jamie, Claire, and Young Ian.
All three haven't been there since the third season. And it's crazy just how long they've been away! Of course we're looking forward to the trio interacting once again with Jenny and Ian Murray, Jamie's sister and brother-in-law and Young Ian's parents.

Warning! Spoilers about Outlander season 7, episode 8 ahead.
Outlander season 7 brings back the Jacobite Rebellion and its aftermath, with the Jacobite gold playing a significant role in the story. Rob Cameron kidnaps Jemmy in hopes of finding the Jacobite gold, which connects the calamity to the Battle of Culloden and the failed rebellion. The remnants of the Jacobite rebellion continue to impact Jamie and Claire in the colonies, with the connection to the Jacobite gold adding mystery to the storyline.
Despite the Jacobite Rebellion being primarily central to the story of Outlander seasons 1 through 3, many events of season 7 threw back to the Jacobite Rising of 1745 and its aftermath. Finding a part of the Jacobite gold in 1770s North Carolina brought the rebellion back into Jamie Fraser’s mind, especially as it connected to his Aunt Jocasta Cameron and the way she got her River Run fortune. However, the biggest consequence, which...

Despite the Jacobite Rebellion being primarily central to the story of Outlander seasons 1 through 3, many events of season 7 threw back to the Jacobite Rising of 1745 and its aftermath. Warning! Spoilers about Outlander season 7, episode 8, and the Outlander books ahead. The first part of Outlander season 7 ended with an explosive midseason finale that concluded some storylines introduced in the season and kicked off new ones that will be central in its second part. With Outlander season 7, episode 7’s ending confirming to Roger (Richard Rankin) that Rob Cameron (Chris Fulton) had traveled with Jemmy (Blake Johnston-Miller) to the past, the 1980s timeline all focused on the Mackenzies separating, as Buck and Roger planned to follow Cameron and Jemmy through the stones at Craigh na Dun. Outlander season seven came to a mid-season stop this month with events hanging in the balance for the Fraser and MacKenzie families. After going through a box of Roger and Bree’s letters from Jamie and Claire and finding out that wee Jem perhaps knows where the Jacobite gold is buried over in America, the dastardly Rob Cameron snatched Jem up and took him into the past, back through the trusty stones at Craigh na Dun, to retrieve the tantalizing treasure.
Or did he? One last word of warning: we will be discussing what happens to Jem next in Diana Gabaldon...
