Star Athletes Trade Their Jerseys For High Fashion

For the first time during New York Fashion Week, Laureus Foundation USA, a nonprofit that uses the power of sport to better children’s lives, is bringing together fashion and sport to shine a light on Sport for Good.

On Wednesday, September 12th some of the nation’s top athletes will walk the runway to raise awareness and crucial funds for disadvantaged youth across the Us during a fundraising event held at Mercedes-Benz Manhattan in New York City. Super Bowl Champion, Pro Football Hall of Famer, co-host of Gma/Gma Day, NFL on Fox analyst, and fashion designer, Michael Strahan and supermodel, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, Karolina Kurkova will kick off the fashion show festivities.

We are now less than 24 hours away from the kick-off to the 2013 NFL Draft.

On Thursday night, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will walk up to the podium, welcome all of the fans to an exciting evening and then, the Kansas City Chiefs will be on the clock.

Ever since the end of Super Bowl Xlviii back in February, fans have been making their wish lists and making their own mock drafts for their teams.

Some of those lists changed dramatically back in March when free agency started and teams shelled out major money to land premier talent on the market.

But teams have also been very quiet in free agency with the draft in mind, like the reigning Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens.

After they defeated the San Francisco 49ers two months ago, Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Dannell Ellerbe, Paul Kruger, Cary Williams, Bernard Pollard, Anquan Boldin and Matt Birk have all either retired,

Former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis has left the gridiron for good, but that didn't keep fellow Super Bowl champion Jacoby Jones from saluting the 13-time Pro Bowler during his "Dancing With The Stars" debut on Monday night.

Jones peppered in Lewis' trademark "squirrel dance" approximately one minute into his routine with partner and dancing coach Karina Smirnoff. Naturally, his teammates were just as excited for Jones to represent the purple and black during his first offseason appearance in the competition.
