Luísa Dalé Silva

Luísa is a Brazilian cinematographer. She holds an MFA degree in Cinematography at the American Film Institute, and has worked as a Director of Photography in numerous narrative short films, commercials, music videos and three feature-length documentaries. In 2018 she attended the Escuela Superior de Cinema y Audiovisual de la Cataluña, in Barcelona and she also holds and undergraduate degree in History by the Universidade de Brasília. She is a member of the Brazilian Society of Cinematographers, the Society of Camera Operators, Women in Film, Women in Media, Chicana Directors Initiative and the Brazilian Collective of Women, Transgender and Non-Binary cinematographers of Brazil (DAFB). She was a mentee on the ASC Vision Mentorship Program between 2022 and 2023 and one of the 12 cinematographers selected by the Terre di Cinema 2023 residency in Sicily, sponsored by the AIC and the BVK. She's bi-coastal (NY-LA) and is frequently working in São Paulo as well.
