Two of the most enigmatic actresses of our time, Elle Fanning and Sarah Paulson, will lead Mirrah Foulkes’ new film project, I Am Sybil. Foulkes directs from a script she co-wrote with Jen Silverman, recreating the true story of Sybil, one of the first widely recognized cases of dissociative identity disorder (formerly called multiple personality disorder).
Sybil was the name given to Shirley Mason, who, in a study conducted by Flora Rheta Schreiber, examined Mason’s treatment for Mpd by psychologist Connie Wilbur. The forthcoming film draws inspiration from Debbie Nathan‘s 2011 novel Sybil Exposed: The Extraordinary Story Behind the Famous Multiple Personality Case, examining flaws in Schreiber’s findings.
We don’t know who Fanning and Paulson play in Foulkes’ film project, but sources say Fanning plays Mason while Paulson plays Wilbur. I Am Sybil is not the first cinematic retelling of Mason’s story. Sally Field and Joanne Woodward...

Encyclopocalypse Publications not only brought John Skipp and Craig Spector’s novelization of Fright Night and Jeff Rovin’s novelization of Re-Animator back into print, they’ve also been commissioning new novelizations of older films. Matt Serafini wrote a novelization of the 1980 sci-fi horror film Scared to Death, while Christian Francis wrote novelizations of 1997’s Wishmaster, 1986’s Vamp, and 1985’s Titan Find (a.k.a. Creature). On the more recent side, Bret Nelson wrote a novelization of 2011’s Manborg. A couple months ago, we heard that we’ll be getting a novelization of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes from Encyclopocalypse Publications and author Jeff Strand. And now it has been revealed that Encyclopocalypse Publications also has a novelization of the 1989 Troma release Redneck Zombies (watch it Here) in the works!
The Redneck Zombies novelization is being written by Kristopher Ruffy and Ed Bishop, and the authors have even been kind enough to share some excerpts!

Let’s just add a happy little actor over here and maybe a touch of afro up there on the head…In his latest movie, Paint, Owen Wilson plays Carl Nargle, a character directly influenced by Bob Ross, who hosted The Joy of Painting from 1985-1994. To get into character, Wilson zeroed in on what made Ross so special in the world of public television.
Bob Ross’ distinct look of afro and beard was something that Owen Wilson and the Paint team had to nail. And in it, Wilson wears a wig that helped him channel the beloved painter and will make audiences go Wooowwww. “I did like a little painting before to just see what it felt like. But one of the big things for me came when they got the look dialed in with the wardrobe. And, I mean, let’s be honest, the wig does a lot...

When you first saw John Travolta as Edna Turnblad in the 2007 musical movie "Hairspray," did you recognize him? It's okay if you didn't — in fact, that's exactly what the actor was going for. Travolta wanted Edna to feel like a woman, rather than a man in drag. Casting a man in this role was a nod to the source material, John Waters' 1988 film of the same name, in which the drag queen Divine plays Edna. Rather than lean into the drag elements of the original film, Travolta put his own twist on the part.
"I tried to make it so you never really knew it was me, that you thought it was some sort of eccentric overweight woman," the "Grease" star explained to Access Online. "Divine always had kind of the wink that it was a man playing a woman, but I tried not to have the wink."

Is it too late now to say sorry? Not according to TommyInnit, Slimecicle, Ranboo, Ph1LzA, and Wilbur Soot.
The five Minecraft stars are the members of a new comedy group called The Sorry Boys, which is now live on its titular YouTube channel. The new hub will offer the quintet’s comedic stylings while also giving their fans a chance to check out their real-life adventures rather than their in-game exploits.
The members of The Sorry Boys are known for their exploits on the Dream Smp Minecraft server, through which they have all gathered at least three million subscribers on their respective YouTube channels. Despite that connection, the Sorry Boys channel will not be focused on gaming. Instead, it will deliver fast-paced sketches pulled from the minds of its five stars. A trailer for the group’s videos promises kooky costumes, toy guns, loud shouts, burning effigies, and much more.

George Harrison was the youngest member of The Beatles and was dubbed the quiet one. Though a bit of a misnomer (Tom Petty said he wouldn’t shut up), George often let his music do the talking. He came into his own as a songwriter with the Fab Four and continued the trend in his solo career. Here are 10 essential George Harrison songs to listen to on his Feb. 25 birthday (presented in no particular order).
George Harrison | Sonia Moskowitz/Images/Getty Images 1. ‘Taxman’
George wrote the lead song from perhaps the best Beatles album with hardly any help. John Lennon refused to help George write “Taxman,” and that might have been a good thing.
The barbed guitar line, simple yet infectious melodies, and memorable lyrics culminated in his peak Beatles moment to that point. It’s not difficult to conceive George receiving a confidence boost knowing he penned a stellar song without any assistance.

Arrow swings into 2023 with a disc of a horror thriller ‘with issues’ — but appointing it with intriguing extras. Sandra Dee gets her perky nose all tangled up in an inter-dimensional conspiracy run by sneaky occultist Dean Stockwell — and we know that it’s all going to lead to a sacrificial altar. Roger Corman designer Daniel Haller directed this cross between a Poe picture and a psychedelic epic, for good old American-International.

John Candy may no longer be with us, but he's still Canada's national treasure. Amongst his raunchy '80s peers, the Second City comedy alumnus had a gift. His warmth never failed to give us a smile when he appeared on-screen. His best films built on that endlessly loving part of Candy, turning him into an honorary family member, a silly babysitter for our darker days.
Despite his comedy prowess, his dramatic roles made us look at him in a new light. When he died in 1994 at 43, we lost decades of potential work where we could have deepened his craft. As a Canadian whose vibrant attitude borrows from the best in Candy, Ryan Reynolds understands what Candy means to all of us. Reynolds' production company is working on a documentary on Candy's life and legacy. For now, we have Candy's movies to remember him by when we miss his infectious laugh.

It's up for debate whether or not "Halloween Ends" is going to be the actual end of the "Halloween" franchise. The more recent installments have seen wildly mixed reviews, with passionate stances coming from both sides of the aisle — but if there's one thing "Halloween" fans can agree on, it's their desire for more Michael Myers. That said, it appears that Jame Lee Curtis, our longtime heroine Laurie Strode, isn't the only pivotal cast member who claims she is saying goodbye to the story for good.
Myers actor James Jude Courtney confirmed that "Halloween Ends" would be his last time donning the mask during an interview with ScreenRant published on October 18, 2022. He said:
"You know, [director] David [Gordon Green], and Jamie and I have talked about this, we're done. We're done. I think, for me, to put this character down, Jamie and I were talking on the set towards the end,...
