The Flash Season 9 Promotes Chillblaine Actor To Series Regular
Jon Cor, who has portrayed Chillblaine in the Arrowverse in the last few years, has officially been promoted to series regular on The Flash season 9. Not only will The Flash season 9 make the show the longest-running series in the Arrowverse, but it's also the end of an era for The CW's DC franchise. While Superman & Lois seems likely to continue after season 3, The Flash will be the last Earth-Prime-based series, as the former was revealed to take place on an alternative Earth in the Arrowverse. Did Friday the 13th 2009 Secretly Start A Major Horror Trend?

Did Friday the 13th 2009 Secretly Start A Major Horror Trend?
2009’s Friday the 13th was marketed as a remake and a reboot, but there is an argument to be made that the movie was really the first example of a “requel” years before the term was created. The Friday the 13th franchise timeline doesn’t add up. Even before 2009’s remake/reboot, the series has always had a confusing, contradictory storyline whose events overlapped and failed to make sense upon inspection.

However, the chronological issues of the Friday the 13th series were part of what made the 2009 remake such a success. Where most slasher reboots simply retold the original movie’s story with few significant changes, Friday the 13th 2009 took a different approach. Blending the most memorable scenes from the first four Friday the 13th movies with a new storyline, Friday the 13th 2009 ended up being much better than many detractors gave the reboot credit for. Not only that, but

Candice Patton Says She Wanted to Leave
Candice Patton is opening up about her early days playing Iris West on "The Flash." In a recent episode of "The Open Up Podcast," The CW star revealed she wanted to leave the series as early as season two due to the racist abuse she received from fans of the show online. Patton went on to share that she didn't receive support from the network at the time, which made the situation all the more isolating.

"Now people understand how fans can be racist, especially in genre [film and tv], but at the time it was kind of just like, 'That's how fans are, whatever,'" Patton said. "Even with the companies I was working with, The CW and WB, that was their way of handling it. We know better now. It's not Ok to treat your talent that way, to let them go through abuse and harassment. For me in 2014, there were no support systems.
