Princess Diana Once Went to the Cannes Film Festival — and Her Dress Is Still Iconic Today!

The Cannes Film Festival was very different in the '80s. Back then, when the world's A-listers gathered on the French riviera to celebrate and engage with the hottest cinematic talent in the business, there was no reason to announce a ban on "grotesque" selfies, for example. But one red carpet occurrence that we'e still talking about all these years later is when Princess Dianna paid the festival a visit in a dress that's still iconic today. In May of 1987, Princess Diana and Prince Charles flew across the channel for Cannes' 40th anniversary. She was photographed wearing a powder blue chiffon gown by one of her favorite designers, Catherine Walker. Pregnant Kate Middleton Broke Royal Protocol on Easter — Get the Details!

The royals turned out en masse for Easter service at Windsor Castle's St. George's Chapel — the church where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to tie the knot this May — on Sunday, April 1. Whilst the prince and his bride-to-be were not in attendance, Queen Elizabeth led proceedings alongside a number of her grandchildren, including Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Lady Louise Windsor, and James, Viscount Severn. Also in attendance were Prince William and Kate Middleton, whose arrival demonstrated, interestingly, a break in royal protocol. Kate — who is set to give birth to her third child in just a few weeks — arrived with her husband by car. Nothing unusual in that, you might think, only royal tradition dictates that members of the monarchy walk down the hill from Windsor Castle to the chapel for the Easter service. Not only that, but the couple broke royal protocol by arriving after the Queen

And, during the outing, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge showed off some rare Pda and the moment was adorable. (Photo Credit: Getty Images) William, 35, was sweetly photographed putting a loving arm around the back of his 36-year-old pregnant wife during the parade. Unlike Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, William and Kate tend to shy away from displays of affection while on duty which makes this moment extra adorable for royal fans. Yet again, the couple proved

Patrick’s Favorites of 2017

  • DailyDead
This past year was simply too good for horror fans.

I wasn’t sure where to even start making a list of favorites for 2017. Theatrical horror killed it like never before, the indie scene remains vital and strong, horror TV is bigger than ever, and cult and boutique video labels continue putting out gorgeous Blu-rays of gem after gem. There’s really too much to include here. Movies like Get Out, The Shape of Water, and Raw are absolutely among my favorites of the year, but because I’ve talked about them elsewhere and they’ve previously been covered by my brilliant colleagues here at Daily Dead, I’ll try to focus on some other picks instead.

Here, in no real order, are some of my favorites in horror for 2017:

Stephen King: 2017 was one of the best years to be a Stephen King fan I can remember in my lifetime,
