Michelangelo Sosnowitz (Mike) grew up in Westport, CT and began taking piano lessons at the age of five. As a teenager Sosnowitz won the Connecticut Songwriting Competition in its first year of conception. At NYU he studied theory, composition and film scoring and began scoring plays and dance projects by performing live along side of the actors. He also scored several student films winning two Best Score awards at the First Run Film Festival.
Notable credits include the music to the Colin Quinn series Cop Show, the teaser music to HBO's Generation Kill and the opening theme music to the History Channel show Battles BC. His feature film scores include the Dan Fogler directorial debut Hysterical Psycho, the Deborah Kampmeier film SPLiT and the Allie Dvorin film A Novel Romance. He has written commercial music for Animal Planet, Chiller Network, Garnier Fructis, Phillips Norelco, SK Energy Drink and many more.
As a songwriter, Sosnowitz has written and produced albums for several artists across different genres of music. He has placed songs high on the CMJ charts as well as satellite, domestic and internet radio.
