Michael's acting career began at a young age when he made an appearance on "Snowball Satellite" TV in Germany and acted in the "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" play in middle school. In high school, he was in numerous choirs and did some acting as well. After high school, Michael pursued a career in Medicine and the Fine Arts were put on the back burner. He was premed in college and also worked in an Emergency Room. He tried for and landed a lead role in a local play and acting became his new life. So after he received a degree with Honors from the University of Alaska, Michael promptly quit Medicine and started studying filmmaking and acting. In 1998, he read and reviewed scripts for American Zoetrope (Francis Ford Coppola's screenplay company) and decided to take a shot and write his own. In that same year, he wrote his first screenplay, "Reality of Life". Michael has since worked on short films, feature films, worked with DV and 35mm film, and his job positions have ranged everywhere from being a production assistant to a Director of Photography. At the age of 23, Michael directed, produced, edited, and co-starred in his first feature film which he had written years earlier. In doing so, he started his own company by the name of "Invisible Productions" and with the $15,000 he had in his savings account, he funded Reality of Life (2002). Since then, his company has produced numerous short films and more short and feature films are in the works.
