Álvaro Jiménez Garzón

Graduated as a musician with emphasis in sound engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana of Bogota in 2016. His degree thesis documentary achieves the first place in the AES Latin American Student Competition in the Audiovisual Media category. In 2018 he finished the program in Digital Cinema at the SAE Institute Barcelona. He has written, edited and directed several projects such as short films, commercials and music videos. His films have been nominated in several festivals such as Do Ut Des Film Fest (Italy), Red Moon Fest (Argentina), Bogoshorts (Colombia), SmartFilms (Colombia), The 48 Hour Film Project (Colombia) and Villa del Cine Festival (Colombia). He is founding partner of Piranga Films, production company based in Bogota, Colombia.
