Jason Dolan
Jason grew up on military bases in Maine (Loring AFB) and Louisiana (Barksdale AFB) before his father retired and moved to Atlanta, Georgia. His mother, who worked in a collections department of a bank chain that ultimately became Bank of America, was born in Fitzgerald, Georgia. In high school, Jason took up acting, with roles that included Elwood P. Dowd in a production of Harvey. In the Summer of 1992, his junior year in high school, Jason joined the production crew of a show called "Teen Talk" that was to be shot, edited and produced by teenagers. They traveled to the campuses of UCLA to document the Campfire Boys and Girls annual retreat. Even though the TV show fizzled, while in California, Jason applied for a Community Action program called Earth Train sponsored by Hyatt Regency and the Coca Cola Company. He returned to Los Angeles that Fall. The group consisted of a 150 kids representing six continents and over thirty countries. They traveled from LA to San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, New York and Washington DC by train promoting community action. The trip culminated with them meeting with members of the United Nations and members of Congress. The entertainment group who opened each seminar was a New York performance entity called City Kids (its members included Dash Mihok, Rosario Dawson and Malik Yoba). Jason became a part of their weekend retreat promoting the melting pot that was New York in January of 1993. Eventually, Jason moved to New York City for good in 1997, after studying acting at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta. In 2000, Jason became the executive assistant of legendary film producer Martin Poll, whose 1968 version of "The Lion in Winter" won three Academy Awards. He worked for Poll until the Spring of 2005 when he sold his first screenplay. He is now developing several projects.
