Josh Siegel(II)
- Producer
- Second Unit Director or Assistant Director
- Production Manager
Born in NYC, Josh cultivated his filmmaking interests at an early age through
writing and photography. At age 20, he raised the money to produce his first film
while still a senior at Johns Hopkins University.
His first feature, The Last Letter, shot in 2003 (starring William Forsythe and Yancy Butler), was one of the first commercially distributed features to shoot in HD. His film Between, shot entirely on location in Mexico (starring Poppy Montgomery), was a Sundance Film Festival selection (in competition) and subsequently purchased by Lifetime Networks.
Josh's strong line producing background was key to his being hired by Hannibal Pictures as their Head Of Production, where he oversaw their slate of $5-15M independent features. Hannibal's films during Josh's tenure include Casino Jack (Kevin Spacey, Barry Pepper) and The Big Bang (Antonio Banderas). Following his time there, Josh line produced a TV pilot executive produced by the Jonas Brothers called Gutsy Frog, as well as a bonus episode for the DVD of Fox's hit TV show 24.
Most recently, the feature Any Day that he co-produced (starring Sean Bean, Eva Longoria, Tom Arnold and Kate Walsh) was released in theaters in 2015. Later that year, he produced the anti-gun violence movie Shot (starring Noah Wyle) directed by Jeremy Kagan (The Chosen).
Josh is a member of both the Producers Guild Of America and the Directors Guild Of America, and resides in Los Angeles.
