Billie Piper "Secret Diary" Gets A Movie

Former "Doctor Who" star Billie Piper has revealed to The Sun that a film version of her sexy British series "Secret Diary Of A Call Girl" may be in the works.

The 27-year-old is currently working on a fourth and final series for ITV2 and mentioned in an interview this week that "I'm about to start filming the fourth series and then that will be it. I'm not sure it has legs past four seasons so we're trying to develop a movie."

The series, based on the books and blog of real-life escort Belle de Jour, has become a modest hit not just in the UK but in the Us as well via Showtime.

Piper plays a seemingly normal London woman who lives a secret life as a call girl. The story covers the complications that ensue when her professional and private lives collide. Guest stars have included the likes

The Lost world of the TV junket | Media Monkey

It was like the good old days for TV hacks last night with the launch party of the final season of Lost. Sky's PR machine pushed the boat out, turning London club the Hospital into a full-scale recreation of the show, with guests handed Oceanic airline boarding passes on arrival and extras dressed up as airline stewardesses and in Dharma Initiative overalls. And then the show, The Reduced Shakespeare Company's Lost in 10 minutes. A bijou masterpiece, written and produced in just three weeks, with the cast flown over from California for just two performances. One for hacks and one for fans. Actor Matt Rippy told Monkey afterwards that the fans were a much livelier audience than the hacks. Perhaps they hadn't drunk enough free booze before the performance. In these post credit crunch times, lavish TV show launches don't come like this very often.
