Angel Williams is a writer, producer, and U.S. Army veteran originally from Washington, D.C., now based in Denver, Colorado. She began her screenwriting journey in 2013 through the Writers Guild Initiative, where she was encouraged to adapt her personal stories into screenplays.
Angel is the co-founder of Soldier Up Productions, which she launched with her daughter, Keonia Williams. Together, they are producing 55, a feature documentary about the legendary 1993 Dunbar High School basketball team in D.C.
A 2022 RespectAbility Entertainment (now Disability Belongs) Lab Fellow, Angel focuses on telling inclusive, character-driven stories across genres. Her scripts Stone Fate and Conversations with Mom have been recognized by the ScreenCraft Film Fund and featured on Coverfly's Red List. Her credits include the PBS documentary series Renegades, short films In The Pocket, The Taking of Courtroom One Two Three, and the upcoming I Got Next.
