Nehir Hatipoglu

Nehir is a Turkish actor and writer based in Sydney. She stars in three upcoming feature films: Mirror Mirror (2025), a psychological thriller in which she plays Mia, the bold, quick-witted best friend with a dark sense of humour; The Idiot Coil (2025), a haunting folk thriller; and Our Friend Flint (2026), a supernatural drama.
Known for portraying emotionally charged, complex roles, Nehir recently played Natasha in the award-winning feature Cuckoo's Den, which premiered at Ritz Cinemas in 2024. She trained at the Academy of Film, Theatre and Television, where she portrayed Anna in Leo Tolstoy's Anna Karenina.
On stage, she starred in Sophia=Wisdom at New Theatre, a critically acclaimed experimental production praised by Time Out and Sydney Theatre Reviews.
Also a journalist, Nehir has interviewed prominent figures including Vogue Australia's Editorial Director Edwina McCann and musicians Tina Arena, Ruel, and Budjerah.
