'Nashville' Recap, Season Three, Episode Six: Cma Awards and Baby Daddies

'Nashville' Recap, Season Three, Episode Six: Cma Awards and Baby Daddies
You've got to hand it to ABC. In this week's episode of Nashville, they managed to cross-promote practically every other ABC show on the air except How to Get Away With Murder (so we'll do it for them: #Htgawm airs Thursdays at 10 p.m.).

Between the Cma Award nominations, Good Morning America and Dancing With the Stars, Music City's fictional residents got plenty of network screen time (and potential future screen time), but most of them were too busy with other things to take much notice.

Juliette is rushed to the ER,

The Voice Season 4 'Live Finals' Recap: Who Should (and Will) Win It All? [Updated]

The Voice Season 4 'Live Finals' Recap: Who Should (and Will) Win It All? [Updated]
The battle lines have all been drawn and the fandoms have been essentially locked in for several weeks now on Season 4 of The Voice. So the question entering tonight’s Live Finals was this: Would (or could) any voters be swayed to switch allegiance?

The question exiting it, though, was quite different: Why did one of the three competing acts get a hefty advantage by scoring two out of the last three solo performance slots on the telecast? (Spoiler alert: It wasn’t The Swon Brothers or a member of Team Usher.)

Look, I know Danielle Bradbery is as easy

The Voice Top 6 Performance Recap: For God and Country, Country, Country! [Updated]

Welcome to NBC’s The Voice: Country Strong, home of gingham dresses and boot-cut jeans, chewin’ tobacco and four wheelers, and Blake & Miranda as your royal couple. The letter “g” need not apply for the apostrophe’s position at the end of such words like singin’, dancin’, comin’ or goin’. Y’all.

And no, I’m not mocking the redneck way of living. (I’ve had my share of Pabst from a can while sitting around a bonfire, if you must know.) I’m just shocked that Season 4 of NBC’s reality singing competition seems to have abandoned any notion of musical versatility.

The Voice Recap: A Song of Nice and Dire

The Voice Recap: A Song of Nice and Dire
Week 1 of The Voice‘s Season 2 Quarterfinals closely paralleled a pivotal scene in Game of Thrones‘ inaugural season: What appeared to be a character central to the action had his head unceremoniously detached and placed on a spike as the crowd — or at least the three people in my living room — roared approval. The only thing missing was Christina Aguilera emerging naked from the funeral pyre of her Bionic album, its jewel case having hatched into a tiny, fire-breathing dragon.

Of course, there were a few moments where the episode began to resemble the kind of deranged hootenanny described during

"The Voice" Live Round: Is Adam Levine the Weakest Link?

There's only one thing more unsettling than watching two out of eight competitors on last night's The Voice receive surprise eliminations at episode's end: watching Adam Levine mumble and stutter for approximately 30 hours before giving simple criticisms. Bad news, everyone: Adam is suddenly the worst! His nervous preambles are so damn time-consuming! Last week I realized that Christina Aguilera often shares valuable insight with the contestants (even if she can't remember their names, as was the case with the wrongfully dismissed Tony Vincent), and now I'm realizing a far scarier fact -- that Adam Levine is worried about not seeming nice. What could be a more disgusting fear? He should focus his phobia on Xtina's stagewear, which -- during her performance of "Stronger" on The Voice stage -- resembled Paula Abdul's freakish, bedazzled ensemble from her performance of "Vibeology" at the '91 Video Music Awards.

Man oh man.

Sara Evans gets restraining order against ex Craig Schleske: Custody battle gets ugly

  • Pop2it
Country singer Sara Evans has been embroiled in a bitter custody battle with her ex-husband, Craig Schelske, and now she's secured a restraining order that blocks him from publicly discussing details of their marriage, their custody agreement, and their divorce.

Schleske lost custody of their three children, blaming it on Evans painting him as a porn-addicted adulterer in the courts. He discussed the situation on Anderson Cooper's talk show, which fueled Evans to seek the restraining order. "This is a violation of his First Amendment rights, and he won't take it lying down," a source tells TMZ.

Evans, on the other hand, accuses Schleske of maintaining an environment in which underage drinking is encouraged. Their children are twelve, eight, and seven years old. They live with Evans, her husband Jay Barker, and his four children.

Evans and Schleske were married for 13 years. They called it quits in 2006. Evans maintains

Sheryl Crow Flashes Underwear, Taylor Swift Has Big Night At Cmt Awards

Sheryl Crow Flashes Underwear, Taylor Swift Has Big Night At Cmt Awards
Nashville, Tenn. — Ludacris made a surprise appearance, as did Sheryl Crow's underwear. Lady Antebellum laid down a funky beat with Charles Kelley doing a Don Henley impression. And a sassy Wynonna Judd put Kid Rock in his place.

Actress Kristin Chenoweth's first Cmt Music Awards left quite an impression Wednesday night.

"This show is entertaining," Chenoweth said. "I think the Oscars could learn something from it."

Recent trends continued as Taylor Swift's fans gave her the night's top honor – the fan-voted video of the year award for "Mine" – Miranda Lambert's "The House That Built Me" continued its extraordinary run and Lambert's new husband, Blake Shelton, was the night's only multiple winner.

As often is the case at the Cmt Awards, though, the show was as memorable for its unlikely mashups and celebrity cross-pollination moments as for its winners.

Let's start with Crow's underwear, which made a
