Kyla is an Italian-Canadian creative entrepreneur & writer who offers graphic design, digital marketing and writing services tailored to the country music, film & TV industries.
Often described as being a "force of nature," she is quickly becoming a sought-after name in the music, film & TV industry across the globe. In country music, she's worked alongside many well-decorated independent artists, providing direct support on numerous single & album marketing campaigns, amongst other supportive tasks. In November 2020, she ventured into the world of songwriting. She's co-written with some of the most promising talents in the Canadian country music scene as well as across the United States. However, her true calling lay in capturing the stories and experiences of country artists. In December 2020, she started an inclusive platform under her own name, with the aim of supporting both independent and signed country artists (and related genres) through her writing. In the first five months, she's secured a readership in 37 countries across the globe, a collaboration with Atlanta's Cougar Country Radio station (no longer in service) and covered more than 50+ artists across the globe, including Tebey & NEEDTOBREATHE's single, "I Wanna Remember" Ft. Carrie Underwood. After 6 months, her blog was named one of the "Top 70 Canadian Music Blogs on the Web" by Feedspot, who also stated she had, "An impressive blog with high quality & useful content." By the end of 2021, she had featured hundreds of artists and connected with many more. By early 2023, she has published over 150+ articles covering multiple household names, music festivals and events. In 2024, she surpassed the 200-article mark and further cemented her name in Nashville, interviewing many of today's rising & key talents, such as MacKenzie Porter and Lauren Watkins.
In film & TV, she's worked alongside industry greats & well-established studios such as Don Carmody Television Inc., headed by multiple award-winning & Emmy-Award nominated producers Don Carmody (The Boondock Saints) & David Cormican (Shadowhunters, Northern Rescue), under which she worked as a graphic designer on numerous released and upcoming film & television properties, including the family drama series for CBC & Netflix Northern Rescue (2019) starring William Baldwin, Kathleen Robertson and Amalia Williamson, the to be released hit teen vampire TV series House of Night based on the novels by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast and the upcoming televised mini-series Escape From Plauen based on World War II memoir by Renate Stoever. In the years since she's worked on numerous independent film & TV properties across various genres as a post-production PA & graphic designer. In early 2023, she began working on What's Next? (2024), a documentary film by Italian-American powerhouse Taylor Taglianetti (Heirloom) and starring the TikTok sensation and 102-year-old oldest practicing doctor, Howard Tucker. In the same year, she also received the honour of being invited to join The National Organization of Italian Americans in Film & Television (NOIAFT), of which she's now an active member. In 2024, she further stepped into her role at NOIAFT as the acting development associate and program support specialist, contributing to NOIAFT's mission of promoting & supporting Italian-Americans in the entertainment industry. In addition, she's working on a handful of film properties in various supportive roles, including being the acting festival, screening and distribution assistant and booking coordinator for the Italian-American documentary film Heirloom (2022), directed by Emmy-nominee Michela Maria Smith, produced by Taylor Taglianetti and starring Isabella Rossellini. Teaming up once again with Taylor Taglianetti and Michela Maria Smith, Kyla is also a part of The Eel, a narrative film centred upon Italian superstitions. Keeping up the momentum heading in 2025, Kyla's continuing her work on various film properties across the United States and spearheading her own film properties as a screenwriter.
