Paola Matienzo was born in Argentina. She studied in the University of Salvador, graduating in social communication. At the same time, she also took classes in interpretation with Rubén Shumacher, staging with Ricardo Bartis, and dramaturgy with Rafael Spregelburg.
At that time, she also acted in the next films: "Buenos Aires me mata" (Dir. Beda do Campo Feijó, cast), "Sucede lo que pasa" (Dir. Teresa Constantini, participates), "Mataperros" (Dir. Gabriel Arregui, protagonist). She also took part in a médium-length film "Año nuevo" (Dir. Ramiro Longo, protagonista) and two short films "Gallito ciego" (Dir. In Spain she participated as an actress in the tv shows "Angels i Sant" (2006) and "Infidels" (2009), both for TV3 in Barcelona. Later, in 2019, she acted in the series "Elite" and "High seas" both for Netflix. At that time, she also directed the short films "20 years" and "Boots".
In theater she worked in more than 20 plays in Argentina, Spain and the United States with directors such as Josep María Miró and Julián Fuentes Reta, among others.
In Europe she trains with directors like: Asghar Farhadi, José Carlos Plaza, Pablo Remón, Gracia Querejeta, Miguel Albadalejo, Cesc Gay, Roger Gual, Carlos Sedes, Mariano Barroso, David Serrano, Benito Zambrano, Luisa Armenteros, Javier Daulte, Miguel Narros y Tamzin Townsend. In 2009 she created AZarte, a place of creation, production and exhibition in Madrid, in which she is now Director and programmer.
