In addition to her other achievements, she must surely be noted for her work in the series "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" in her part as Judge Ruth Linden. Over several appearances as a judge in the New York Family Court she certainly conveyed lawyer-like rigidity and judgmental firmness, but combined that with an underlying motherly understanding exactly appropriate to Family Court.
