Chris McElroy is a film and visual media composer of multiple genres and styles, with an emphasis on classical orchestration. He has a repertoire of scored films, shorts, documentaries, and video game projects ranging from students to working professionals. He graduated in 2020 from CSU Northridge with a Bachelors in Media Composition, under the guidance of Elizabeth Sellers and Clinton Rusich. In his time there he interned with Alexander Arntzen through the mentorship program provided at CSUN. The following year, he was accepted to USC's Thornton School of Music, where he completed his masters in the prestigious Screen Scoring program. In his time there he was awarded the Warren Scholarship in Music, and worked with some of the leading film scoring professionals in Hollywood, including Patrick Kirst, Eric Schmidt, Jon Burlingame, Pete Anthony, Thanh Tran, Richard McIlvery, Gary Schyman, Chris Young, Siobhán Dougall, and Daniel Carlin. He looks forward to growing within the amazing community of young filmmakers, composers, and affiliated industry professionals he has already had the pleasure of working with, and with those he is yet to meet!
