Hash Sesay(I)

Hashmiru Ahamad Sesay is a Sierra Leonean-American filmmaker that seeks to bridge the gaps in communication by telling stories that entertain, enlighten, connect, and jolt audiences everywhere. Formerly a registered nurse and U.S. Army officer, his background has led him to develop a unique creative sensibility and process of working. He earned his BFA in Film and Video Production from The City College of New York and an MFA in Producing at Brooklyn College Feirstein School of Cinema. With the belief that laughter is the emotional reward for discovering our own misconceptions, he creates content that explores socio-political themes through comedy and surrealism with the intention to empower people to become actively engaged in their thinking.
