Award-winning composer Anibal Vidal (1991) based in London, has a multifaceted career in different areas such as concert music, music for media and multidisciplinary projects. His works focus on temporal and gradual process engagement. Among his credits as a screen composer, he has scored the original soundtracks of the Netflix show 'Cromosoma 21', and Canal 13 (Chile) series 'Helga & Flora' (2020), 'Rio Oscuro' (2019) and 'Pacto de Sangre' (2018). Furthermore, he has written the original score of the feature films 'Canasto de Cangrejos' (2018) directed by Paulo Cabrera and 'Mientes' (2020) directed by Alvaro Rudolphy. He is a BAFTA Connect member.
As a concert music composer, he received the 20th Joan Guinjoan International Prize for his orchestral piece 'Gliding Murmuration' in 2022. In the same year, his ensemble piece 'Liquidity' obtained the DYCE Competition 2022 award for Young Composers of Europe. His compositions have been performed by renowned ensembles in the UK and Europe, including the Ensemble Intercontemporain (Paris), Quatuor Bozzini (Finland), Divertimento Ensemble (Milan), Cikada Ensemble (Oslo), Ensemble U: (Tallinn), Ensamble Taller Sonoro (Seville), Synchronos ensemble (Zagreb), BCN216 ensemble (Barcelona), RCM Philharmonic (London), East Anglia Chamber Orchestra (Cambridge), among others.
