Matt Dionne is an award-winning filmmaker based in Toronto, Canada.
His films primarily fall into the drama and comedy genres - his dramatic films tend to explore themes related to identity, social structures, and mental health through gritty realism, while his comedy films often still deal with serious subject matter, but in a much more witty and sardonic way.
He is a graduate of York University's Screenwriting program, and the Toronto Film School's Film Production program.
He's also a member of the Ontario chapter of the Director's Guild of Canada.
