Joelle Peters is an Indigenous (Anishinaabe) actor and writer from Walpole Island First Nation in Southwestern Ontario. After graduating from Seneca College's Acting for Camera and Voice program, she began working in theatre. Joelle is known for her work in In Her City (dir. Carl Bessai) which premiered at the Whistler Film Festival in 2020, and Shoresy (Crave/Hulu).
