Benedict Wong confirms Avengers 4 return, says Doctor Strange 2 could shoot this December

While the shocking climax to Avengers: Infinity War showed a number of our favourite Marvel heroes turning to dust in the wake of Thanos’ Snap, questions were left hanging over the fates of many fan-favourite supporting characters – not least Benedict Wong’s Wong, who bowed out of the fight against the Children of Thanos in New York in order to protect the Sanctum Sanctorum.

During an appearance at Fan Expo Vancouver this past weekend (via Pop Goes The World), Benedict Wong remained coy as to whether his character survived The Snap, although he did confirm that he has shot scenes for Avengers 4. Whether that means he’ll feature in flashbacks/time travel scenes, or he’ll be among the many characters whose resurrections we’re expecting, it seems we’ll have to wait until May of next year to find out.

Although he was tight-lipped about Avengers 4, Wong did drop another piece of big news,

Marvel has done an exceptional job of keeping details on Avengers 4 under wraps, with little known about the sequel aside from the confirmed return of Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), War Machine (Don Cheadle), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper), Nebula (Karen Gillan) and Thanos (Josh Brolin), and the introduction of Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) following her first solo outing in March.

There have of course been plenty of rumours – not least the theory that the storyline will revolve around time travel, as the surviving members of

Avengers 4 toy packaging reveals new matching team costumes for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes

Marvel Studios is yet to launch the marketing campaign for Avengers 4, but we are starting to get a few leaks of early promotional artwork; a couple of months ago we got the above team shot, and now some toy packaging has surfaced which seems to indicate that Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will be getting some matching team outfits in the Infinity War follow-up.

As you can see below, both Thor and Rocket Raccoon are decked out in the same grey and black suit – as is Captain America in the lower right corner (although Captain Marvel isn’t). Check them out here…

More rumours supporting Avengers 4 time jump theory

Potential (minor) Avengers 4 spoilers follow…

While Marvel Studios is doing a fantastic job of keeping any and all details relating to Avengers 4 tightly under wraps (including the title!), two persistent rumours about the Avengers: Infinity War follow-up are that it will see the surviving members of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes using time travel to try and undo ‘The Snap’, and that there’ll be a time jump between the two movies.

With regards to the latter, Gwyneth Paltrow has previously let slip that Pepper Potts and Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark are married with a child, while teenager Emma Fuhrmann (Blended) has been cast as an older version of Scott Lang’s (Paul Rudd) daughter Cassie, played by Abby Ryder Fortson in Ant-Man and the upcoming sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Both of these lend weight to the fact that there’ll be a fairly substantial gap in time

Mark Ruffalo’s “bleeped” Avengers 4 title reveal is The Last Avenger

A few days ago, Mark Ruffalo appeared on The Jimmy Fallon Show, where he “revealed” the super secret title of next year’s Avengers 4 – only for the show to bleep out the big reveal. Fortunately, thanks to some nifty technical work from Trailer Track’s Anton Volkov, said bleep has now been removed and we can clearly hear Ruffalo state that the title is The Last Avenger.

This might not actually be the real #Avengers4 title But: put the audio from the Fallon/Ruffalo interview into Audition and tried removing the bleep using the spectrogram editor.

Now, the smart money would suggest this is simply a fake title used for the purposes of the joke, with online chatter suggesting that the recently rumoured Avengers: Annihilation is actually legit. But of course, until we get official confirmation from Marvel,

Spidey and Nick Fury enjoy a boat ride in Venice in Spider-Man: Far From Home set photo

We’ve seen very little of Nick Fury over the past few years, but fans of Samuel L. Jackson’s (former) S.H.I.E.L.D. director have plenty to look forward to in 2019. Not only is he set for a major role in Captain Marvel – complete with two eyes! – but he’s also going to make an appearance alongside Cobie SmuldersMaria Hill in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

We’ve already seen some video of Jackson and Smulders on set, and now the latest spy photo shows Tom Holland’s web-slinger meeting up with Nick Fury on board a boat on a Venice canal. Check it out here, via Twitter:

Peter Parker And Nick Fury Share A Boat In Spider-Man: Far From Home Set Pic

Tom Holland may have wrapped filming on Spider-Man: Far From Home, but photos continue to make their way online from the set of Peter Parker’s next standalone film.

This new image sees Holland – or at least someone in the Spidey costume – going on a boat ride through Venice with Samuel L. Jackson. While it would be nice to see the pair take some time out on their trip through Europe to try something touristy, we imagine that Peter and Nick Fury are more likely involved in an important mission, and perhaps even a chase.

Seeing how both of these characters were disintegrated in the recent Avengers: Infinity War, it’s unclear how either of them could be living and breathing in next year’s flick, but the presence of Fury feels particularly mysterious. With Cobie Smulders also reprising her role as Maria Hill, many have speculated that this upcoming film,

New rumours suggests Avengers 4 is titled Avengers: Annihilation

We’ve had Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet, Avengers: Endgame, and now we’ve got another possible title for next year’s Avengers 4, with a rumour from McU Cosmic claiming that the Infinity War follow-up is going by the title Avengers: Annihilation.

The term ‘Annihilation’ will be familiar to fans of Marvel Comics, having been the title of a 2006 event series, albeit one that focussed on the cosmic side of the Marvel universe and didn’t actually feature any of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

Now, this report is of course unconfirmed, but McU Cosmic has had a few accurate scoops in the past, so it’s certainly not beyond the realm of possibility that this is also legit. And, as the site notes, it also fits with the cryptic title tease posted by the Russos on social media last month:

What are your thoughts on Avengers Annihilation as a title for Avengers

Chris Evans wraps production on Avengers 4, and says goodbye to the role of Captain America?

Ever since 2011, Chris Evans has donned the star-spangled costume of Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the leader of Earth’s mightiest heroes, the Avengers. Today may mark the end of an era for him and Captain America fans, though, as Evans announced via his Twitter that he has wrapped production on Avengers 4, and it sounds like he may be saying goodbye to Cap for good.

Evans first starred as Steve Rogers in Captain America: The First Avenger before appeared in 2012’s Marvel crossover hit Avengers alongside Iron Man‘s Robert Downey Jr. and Thor‘s Chris Hemsworth. Since then, Cap has become a staple of the McU with Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Civil War. He was last seen as Cap in last summer’s Avengers: Infinity War where he took on Thanos with his bear hands and was among the cast members required for reshoots

Tom Holland Wraps Spider-Man: Far from Home Venice Shoot with New Set Video

Tom Holland has shared a new set video as they have finished up filming in Venice, before heading off to Spidey's home turf in New York City. The video didn't come with any major reveals as it pertains to the movie's plot itself, but it serves as a nice little checkpoint for fans who are excited about the next Spider-Man adventure. Here's what Holland had to say in the caption provided with his video, which was posted to his official Instagram page.

"Honestly the best job of my life. Thank you Venice, Prague and of course my hometown London. I could not have asked for a better crew and the support from our amazing fans has been incredible. Love you all and New York here we come."

Spidey’s Red Suit In Spider-Man: Far From Home May’ve Been Revealed

Set photos from filming on Spider-Man: Far From Home in Europe seem to show that Peter Parker will get himself an all-black stealth suit in his upcoming sequel. But that might not be the only wardrobe change the wall-crawler’s got coming.

According to McU Cosmic’s Jeremy Conrad, the follow-up to Spider-Man: Homecoming will also feature a revamp of the familiar souped-up suit Tony Stark made for him in Captain America: Civil War. Conrad states that “a most reliable source” has informed him that Peter’s main suit in Far From Home will be red and black, derived from a concept that was initially developed for Homecoming but ultimately ditched.

You can catch the concept art that Conrad’s claiming the altered costume will look like in the gallery below:

New Spider-Man: Far From Home Set Pic May Give Us A Big Phase 4 McU Clue

With Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders spotted on the set of Spider-Man: Far From Home, it’s evident that a mini- S.H.I.E.L.D. reunion is on the cards for the upcoming superhero flick. But to go one further, a fresh piece from McU Cosmic speculates that the organization that once played such a central role in the McU could be coming back in a big way.

While a recent set video from Peter Parker’s next solo outing sent the internet into a flurry of excitement with its first look at Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio, this new theory is more concerned with the ominous-looking black cars that pull onto the scene. Indeed, this is just the sort of entrance that S.H.I.E.L.D. might have made in their phenomenon-loving Phase 1 heyday, but it’s the latest set pic of Peter in his

Spider-Man: Far From Home set photo offers best look yet at Spidey’s Noir-inspired new costume

For the past few days a number of low-quality photos and video from the set of Spider-Man: Far From Home have been surfacing online showing Tom Holland’s Peter Parker wearing a new all-black costume.

Speculation has suggested that this black costume could be a version of Spidey’s Stealth Suit, or even the alien symbiote; however, we another image has now surfaced which offers our best look yet at the suit, which certainly looks to be inspired by the Spider-Man Noir design from the comic books. See for yourself here…
