Christopher Cook is a multi-award-winning composer based in Suffolk, UK, known for working across a broad range of styles and genres. His music has been described as "imaginative, colourful, and thoroughly engaging" and has been heard and performed by orchestras and ensembles across the UK, in the US and broadcast on BBC Radio 3. He has written the soundtrack to several feature films streaming on Amazon Prime, including 'Code of Silence' starring Stephen Moyer and 'Wolves of War' starring Rupert Graves, Ed Westwick and Matt Willis.
A graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music; In 2022, he was the recipient of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic's prestigious 'Rushworth' Prize and was commissioned to write a new work for the world renowned RLPO 'Ensemble 10:10' which was performed at the Yoko Ono/John Lennon Tung Auditorium in Liverpool, conducted by Gabriella Teychenné. In January 2023, his large scale orchestral work 'Flow State' was performed by the BBC Philharmonic, conducted by internationally acclaimed conductor Elena Schwarz as part of the RNCM's 50th anniversary celebrations. He was also the 2022 winner of the Brookwright International Brass Band Composition Competition for his piece 'Excursion' and in 2023, this was performed in the RNCM Brass Band festival as well as being published by Brookwright music.
