Jon Sandys
- Additional Crew
After starting a "movie mistakes" website as a hobby while studying at
the Royal Grammar School, Guildford in 1996, the site slowly gained in
popularity throughout his time at Southampton University, meaning that
when he graduated he considered running the website almost full time. A
major break came a few months after graduation, in April 2001, when the
producers of _"The Big Breakfast" (1992)_ asked him to appear on the show talking about
mistakes in Gladiator (2000). The item was a great success, and he was invited
back the following week, turning "Movie Mistakes" into a regular item
which ran for a year, until the end of the show in April 2002. The
website is still growing in popularity, with the release of the first
"Lord of the Rings" film resulting in 57,000 people visiting the site
in one day. A Movie Mistakes book has now been released, and with a TV
show now commissioned, Jon's work continues to hold the public's
attention.
