Ames O'Connor
- Actor
- Additional Crew
- Producer
Ames (they/them) is an Actor, Director, and Producer experienced in studio, network, and independent productions.
As a Sr Producer they've contributed their skill in Virtual Production and ICVFX via the prestigious Lux Machina Consulting (The Mandolorian, Barbie) on multi-million dollar Series and Features; and several commercials and promo campaigns with a range of budgets.
As a actor they are most well-known for They Come From the Sky (2022), which aired at American Cinematheque's Proof Film Fest; and U Shoot Videos (2019), which won awards at the Tribeca Film Festival and was a Vimeo Staff Pick. They've also performed in front of thousands at summer Shakespeare festivals as a classically trained actor.
As a Director, Ames' work in promenade and live immersive pieces focuses on inviting the audience to engage more actively in the story. They balance this the experiential work with funny little indie shorts made to make people laugh at themselves.
Ames holds a Masters in Acting and Directing and has continued study at UCB and The Last Acting Studio in Los Angeles. When not on set, they can be found teaching or celebrating work that normalizes underrepresented genders and neurodiversities. And any project that is funny or weird.
