Most recently seen in ABC's critically acclaimed hit show, "A Million Little Things",12 year old Ava Burgham made her TV debut in Netflix's upcoming series "Healing Powers of Dude" to be released in 2020.
From Vancouver, British Columbia, Ava is a dynamic and versatile performer known for her commanding stage presence and technical ability that has often been described as "stunning", "breathtaking", and "well beyond her years".
Ava is an elite level competitive dancer whose recent highlights of accomplishments include being named a 2019 Dancerpalooza "Beat Squad" member and The Surrey Festival of Dance's 2019 Junior Provincial Stage Jazz Representative. Ava trains extensively in all dance styles including jazz, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, ballroom, acrobatics, tumbling, improvisation, musical theatre and tap, and her dedication to training is frequently recognized at competitions with many overall high score titles, judges choice awards, scholarships and bursaries - which she is grateful so receive and use to help further her dance education.
One of Ava's greatest strengths is her innate ability to to quickly pick up and execute a vast range of choreography styles. Ava loves to continually challenge herself and fine tune her skills, which is evident through her passion of attending dance conventions and masterclasses. Ava is honored to have been named both a Nuvo Mini and Junior Break Out Artist Winner, a Jump Junior VIP Winner, 24 Seven Junior Non-Stop Dancer and Triple Threat Dance Conventions Vancouver Intermediate Ultimate Threat. She is so thankful for the tour travel opportunities these scholarships have facilitated for her throughout Canada and The United States that have allowed her to work closely and learn from top industry professionals and participate in national events like the Dance Awards in Las Vegas at which she was a 2019 Best Dancer Finalist and Break The Floor Productions "Dancerpalooza" in Los Angeles at which she was a "Beat Squad" representative member.
Ava is an excellent student who loves school, where she is known as a positive, friendly and out going young girl who loves helping others and being involved in school activities, and in her free time Ava enjoys spending time with friends, listening to music and dancing in her dance room, and swimming, boating and playing board games with her family.
