"Soultrap" is Marina's first professional filmmaking effort and was nominated for Best Experimental Short at the L'HIF Festival. The short film features eighteen portraits of women diagnosed with clinical depression. Since its completion in 2022, she has produced several more works. Two of these, the short "tHIRSt," a story of tragic drought events set in a surreal landscape, and the short "Still Waters," a fairy tale about a little witch, were selected for the Lift-Off Sessions 2024.
In addition to filmmaking, Marina is a published writer and an experienced painter and photographer, having exhibited her work in Barcelona and Moscow. The first part of her pentalogy, "Concealed Lands," a young-adult fantasy series, was released in May 2024 by MIF Publishing and received positive feedback from critics and audiences. Her photographic work "After the Show" was a finalist at the MAMM Silver Camera contest, and her photo series "Mint Dreams" won the Grand Prix in the Fashion Photographers contest at the V Fashion Festival of the National Institute of Fashion.
As a graduate fashion designer, Marina creates costume concepts for her films and produces design pieces.
