Priyank Sharma(VI)

Priyank Sharma (born 7 September 1985) is an award-winning Design Leader who's credited for the successes of Hotstar and MX Player - few of the biggest products to come out of India. In his previous roles, he held senior leadership positions where he successfully led teams of designers to create world-class products and experiences. In recent years, he has been heavily involved in designing ground-breaking products, scaling design teams and building cultures. Few other big brands that he had the opportunity to work with early on in his career include Yahoo!, Sony and Vodafone.

Priyank Sharma grew up in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. His father is an accountant, and his mother is a homemaker. Raised in Chembur, Priyank completed his Class X at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour High School and completed Class XII from Guru Nanak Khalsa College of Arts, Science & Commerce.

He was passionate about design from a very early age and often pursued freelance stints while at school and at college. He briefly considered a career in architecture at the Dr D. Y. Patil College of Architecture in Navi Mumbai; however, he soon felt disinterested and felt the whole process of architectural design off-putting. Due to a lack of digital design courses at that time, he decided to pursue graduation and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from SunRise University.
