Ishaan Chandhok is an India-based producer and entrepreneur. A graduate of Lasalle College of the Arts, Singapore, he studied filmmaking and was mentored by Academy Award-winning producer David Puttnam. In 2017, he joined the incubation team at Applause Entertainment, playing a key role in developing the studio's first slate, including the Indian adaptation of BAFTA-winning Criminal Justice and Disney+ Hotstar's City of Dreams.
In 2023, he founded Criss Cross, an independent motion picture and TV studio. His first international co-production, *SATU - Year of the Rabbit, premiered at the Raindance Film Festival and is opening the BFI Future Film Festival (2025). The film was also nominated for a British Independent Film Award (BIFA) and the UNESCO-Gandhi Medal at IFFI. Most recently, he produced Shadowbox, which is playing in competition at the Berlin International Film Festival. (Perspectives section)
