Was once a contestant on the Australian game show Hot Streak (1998). The name of his team was "Mike Whitney's Afro".
In a series of skits for The Chaser's War on Everything (2006), Chas stood outside the Sunrise (2002) studios in Martin Place, holding up a working television set that was broadcasting the rival Today (1982) Show, behind Sunrise hosts David Koch and Melissa Doyle. In another Sunrise sneak-attack, Chas could be seen again outside the window behind Kochie & Mel, holding up cardboard cutouts of "Today" hosts Karl Stefanovic and Tracy Grimshaw.
Was part of a running gag at the 2006 Australian TV Week Logie Awards, as a camera-hogging audience member.
