Emily Swain - Anglo/Irish actor whose first feature was shooting with the legendary Sir Michael Caine & Martin Landau in Shiner directed by John Irwin (Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy & Hamburger Hill).
At aged 10, Emily's first final screen-test was to star opposite Elizabeth Taylor & Jane Fonda in Hollywood's The Blue Bird; directed by George Cukor (Gone with the Wind).
Daughter of veteran RSC, theatre, TV & film actors Cherry Morris and Mike Murray - a lovely bit of baton passing with Mike playing the Raid Inspector in Caine's classic 1965 hit The Ipcress File.
Working globally with multi-award-winning playwrights including:-Mike Bartlett's (Almeida's King Charles III) & recently filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani (current project Dunki - with Shah Rukh Khan):- Screen work includes: features, shorts, TV & online content shot in the UK, Europe & the Middle East. Stage credits include: West End, regional, national & international touring - Europe (Vienna's English Theatre), Australia (Sydney Theatre Company) & Pakistan (The British Council).
As a multi-hyphenate, Emily's own filmmaking & writing projects have Official Selections & Award-Winners at festivals including Independent Shorts, Los Angeles' Indie Shorts Fest, London's East End Film Festival, Irish Film and Television Academy (IFTA) - affiliated festivals (twice) & Dublin's Bloomsday.
@emilyroseswain was educated in the UK & Connemara, Ireland. Emily studied in Oxford, The Sorbonne, Paris (Emily speaks French) & trained 3 years at The Academy of Live & Recorded Arts (ALRA), London. Attending Sydney Hub's masterclasses with renown New Zealand coach Miranda Harcourt; Emily regularly works at her continuous professional development.
