Brenda Lee Harrison
Brenda Harrison burst onto the women's American Kickboxing scene in August of 1993. Born in Deland, Florida on September 26, 1973, to parents Patricia Motta and Lee Harrison, Brenda was born having 4 sisters; 1 brother: Betty, Cindy, Penny, Tammy, and Neal. Eight years later was able to play a big role of being a big sister to her little brother James Tickner, from new dad Jim Tickner. Always loved martial arts but did not start till she was 18. She is well known for being a distance stick and move fighter but easily adapts to all styles like Brawling (Inside fighting) or even switching from speed to power shots since that is what is needed at that moment to counter the attack. One of her favorite quotes:
"Have no Way as Way; have no limitation as limitation."
Her record was 16-4 with 17 American Kickboxing rules, 2 International rules, and 1 Thai Rules with 3 loses. She held two title belts that she defended for many years till unified belts came around. There are also 50+ 1st place trophies/medallions for Shotokan Katas (forms), Weapon Katas (forms), point fighting, grappling and continuous fighting. As of 12/2017 she has a 6th Degree Black Belt under Grandmaster (Head Coach) Eddie Monger at Thunder Kickboxing and has been teaching as Assistant Coach for 26 years with same, Head Coach. She loves giving the knowledge and skill sets to the ones willing to train/learn and show they love it just as much.
On June 19, 2003, Dr. Eddie Monger had one of his fighter's Brenda "2sweet" Harrison that was televised on TBS Superstation: The Movie Break: Kickboxing, Glimmerman.
