Stephen McAteer is an award winning writer, producer and show runner known for Casualty (1986), Byker Grove (1989), where he was series producer and show runner on 2 series, EastEnders (1985) and Father Brown (2013). Stephen won a 2022 Rose D'Or for the Casualty episode Wednesday's Child, which was co-written with Hilary Frankland and a Royal Television Society Award in 2023 for the Casualty episode The Thin Green Line, which is also BAFTA nominated. Stephen has also created and developed drama series for ITV, Gaumont, Red Arrow Studios, Mad Rabbit and AMC.
